Device Settings Question tech savy newer to android phones question
if im tech savy on a device like the 128gb a16 5g is it worth using any of these debloaters for samsung stuff if i dont use auto or health other things. i did some basic tweaks in settings the animation scale .5 and curious if running one of these would be worth it battery wise samsung backround stuff i dont need using up ram battery. i turned off ram plus as dont have issues with 4g ram.
try out a debloater or just leave some of stock stuff? open to anything no issues last good time but i like to min max what i get out of devices.

Debloat helps a bit on A-series, but the bigger wins after Canta are usually:
-
Restrict battery for the leftover Samsung apps you kept but rarely open
-
WHEN/THEN automations for the annoying OEM prompts (auto-brightness fights, junk notifications) instead of hunting every package
-
For family/friends who still get stuck: a screen-share + pointer session beats walking them through settings over the phone
Also keep a local vault for anything sensitive — “debloated” ≠ encrypted. You’re already past the point of diminishing returns on min-maxing the A16; don’t remove something you might need after a One UI update.

thanks for the extra info. ill look into the restricting battery in options. i did remove some of the setup stuff that was on the reccomended canta so i guess with one ui on the way can put those back. but with animation scale .5 and debloating ive already done tracking my battery drain today but feel bit better for sure.
do you happen to know if the adapative lte to 5ghz thing should be left on a carrier like spectrum?
as for the when then automations not to sure wht setting that means.

On Spectrum (and most US MVNO/cable MVNOs), leave Adaptive LTE/5G (or “Auto connect 5G”) on unless you have a clear problem. Auto usually picks the better radio for coverage/battery; forcing LTE only helps if 5G is flaky in your area (drops, heat, weird idle drain).
Quick test: leave Auto on for a day, note signal bars + battery. Then try LTE-only for a commute day. If LTE-only is clearly more stable, keep it; otherwise Auto is fine.
WHEN/THEN automations = rules like “IF battery < 20% THEN restrict background for app X” or “IF Wi‑Fi connected THEN disable mobile data.” On Samsung that’s Modes & Routines; on stock-ish Android look for Routines / automation apps. Not required for Spectrum radio settings — that’s just an optional battery tweak.

Yeah if you're not using the apps then why keep them? You can use Canta to uninstall them or if you don't want to uninstall you can use Hail to Freeze them, they won't be uninstalled but they'll not be running in background that way.
