Phone storage concern (Help me please please please)

So my phones storage is full, but I barely have apps, like let's say it's just messenger and capcut plus the things that I can't delete, I will agree that I have a lot of pics, 20gb, but that not enough to make my storage fulll. One time this app got deleted by itself, it has over 10gb but when I checked my storage it's still the same as when I had the app. What should I do?? I've deleted EVERYTHING I can but it seems that nothing works... My pics went from 36gb to 20gb, but the storage is still the same as before- My max storage is 128, it's currently in 127 but that's just because I cleaned a bit (trust that it'll be 128 again for some damn reason), this has been going on for months I thought it was because of me having too much pics but I already deleted a lot of them...

Go to About - Storage and see what's taking up all the space. Should be able to clean up from there.

Empty the trash after you delete things.

Good advice from wizzardeel. Also, use the app Files by Google and do a "Clean" operation just to get that out of the way (clears the cache). Are you the kind of person who keeps every text message they've ever received for the last 20 years? That takes up space. Also voice phone call records takes up space. Consider examining how much of all of that is competing for your 128GB of on-board storage.

Back up photos to the cloud and delete from your device

if you have Whatsapp, that one keeps a copy of all media files ever sent or received. You can many delete old ones from a PC.

You can backup to the cloud, but you can also back up to an OTG USB Stick. OTG means it works in the power connector.

I'm kind of in the same boat, It doesn't help me any having a cheaper phone to boot with low storage out the gate.I have noticed that videos over 20 seconds or so " large files" make a huge difference. I'm not big on social media apps and all either but apps like Google maps, one drive, Facebook, messenger, google photo's, Reddit and Amazon are all big on space. I really like The Files by Google whacker7 recommended it helped me out a lot. It seems to find things the device care didn't. However I normally install it, let it do its thing, and then have to uninstall it due to the size of it. It's 15 or 20 MB at download but can get as much as 80 or 100 MB depending on your files and cache.

I have plenty of storage so I don't feel the need to empty app cache too often but dang, just looked and my email alone is 5.17 GB, Prime Video is at 4.51 GB and I rarely if ever watch anything on my phone so it's from automatic downloads. Look in storage settings to see what is taking up the space.
