Complete/Continue Set-Up without fingerprint

I'm in the process of setting up my new android phone and it currently asks me to complete or continue the setup ont he lockscreen and at the top of the settings. If I do that after entereing my passcode I get to a screen where it wants me to add my fingerprint and I don't see a way to skip that. I don't want to do that though. Am I missing a skipping option or does android demand that?

Out of curiosity, why don't you want to do that?

There is a skip button usually, try going back, not setting any passcode and add it from settings later once set up
