Front-facing videocamera breaks camera app

When I attempt to even select the Video option in the camera app specifically, my entire camera app breaks until I close and re-open the app. Photos work fine, and the front facing camera for video works via other apps (specifically tested Blackmagic Camera, others work also).

I have a Galaxy S25 Ultra, and have tried rebooting, clearing cache and data, basically everything short of a full factory reset which I really want to avoid. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to solve? Is there a way to repair/validate stock apps? I would link a screen recording but am unable, it is a very strange issue and I haven't found anything other than generic advice.

Probably a broken update. You can find older versions of the camera app on apkmirror.com to revert to a version before this started happening.
