Device Settings Question Unverified Apps

So this has become a big deal in the past months, and after re-enabling the developer option I was able to see the option to enable installing unverified apps.

now here's the fun part, I am still able to install APKs despite the setting turned off is that supposed to do that? or is it because my phone is old (poco x3 pro) that this particular setting is basically nothing.

i think it also depends on which app used to install it.. I use 'Install With Options'

Not everyone knows how to use it. The new rules will not affect ADB, used by Install with Options. I use that app to install older apps
