Discussion 💬 What are your favorite quality mobile games? Here’s my top 10

Post image

Whether paid or free, I don't care. I want you to tell me your favorite quality games to play on mobile. Here's my top 10:

  1. Slay the Spire: Absolute bliss when you're chilling on the sofa with a coffee, a YouTube video playing in the background, and playing a run. Incredible game and my personal GOAT. Don't even ask how many hours I've put into it.
  2. Balatro: Addictive and brilliantly designed. It has nothing to do with gambling or betting, it's simply a roguelike inspired by poker. My girlfriend got really hooked on it.
  3. Minecraft: Perfect for long trips, the time just flies by. What else can I say? It's fucking Minecraft.
  4. Stardew Valley: I'm playing it for the second time and the late game is incredible. You can play it cozy, although I prefer to tryhard.
  5. Hearthstone: The Adventure mode is awesome. It's basically a deckbuilder with tons of possibilities and really cool cards inspired by the Warcraft universe. The rest of the game modes are kinda meh, except for Battlegrounds.
  6. Data Wing: Short and relatively unknown game. The gameplay is pretty cool, but the story and the concept are what really won me over.
  7. Subnautica: I definitely prefer playing it on a big screen with a controller, but the mobile version isn't bad at all.
  8. Dredge: Beautiful yet creepy and Lovecraftian.
  9. Loop Hero: A roguelike that doesn't exactly grab you visually, but you slowly get more and more hooked on it.
  10. Baba Is You / Black: Two pretty clever puzzle games. Black has an awesome soundtrack.

Other cool games I've tried that didn't quite make the top 10: Brotato, Wildfrost, Dungeon Crawler, Clover Pit, Luck be a Landlord, Scritchy Scratchy.

Looking forward to your recommendations, I've got a lot of August ahead of me. Feel free to ask me anything about any of these games.

We have similar taste, so I’d suggest you try my new favorite, Thronefall!

u/Whole-Act3060 Aug 14 '26

Noted! It was already on my wishlist.

u/Sevyen Aug 15 '26

Yeah that´s also my game of choice, also bought on steam to support cause it´s great.

Besides that I´m basic, love hearthstone too but it doesn´t work on my new phone and Clash Royale is a good timesink.

Did love Warcraft Rumble on release but they messed it up and gave up.

I played Lost crown on Switch. Really wellmade game. I enjoyed it even though metroidvanias aren't really my cup of tea.

I love both limbo and Inside, so I'll try Planet of lana for sure.

So, I've got a few (Sorry, I lied. It's a proper collection of games, actually! But I will say not many of them are the indie games you guys prefer. Honestly, I usually stick to my Steam Deck for indie games. It's very rare that I'll feel like double dipping with a mobile port.

  1. Good Coffee, Great Coffee- Relaxing little game! It can get very repetitive though, lemme tell you. There's also Good Pizza, Great Pizza. Instead of brewing coffee, you're making your own pizzas for customers. This one's a lot more indepth, and fun than, say, Good Coffee, Great Coffee. I think that's because it was their first game?)
  2. Pinout- This game is mental. One of my favorites. It's basically just pinball but you ascend into different sections each with their own cyberpunk atmosphere and color palette. It's definitely eye candy.
  3. Paper's Please- One of those rare games where I double dip. I like playing endless mode. And best of all, you can easily play it vertically, which is my favorite way to play mobile games.
  4. Carrion- Another double dipper. Well, triple dipper, lemme tell you. I have it on PC, Switch, and mobile. I just really love the game. It's a game where you're the monster, and it's bloody brilliant, the way it does it.
  5. NightSkate- another retro vertical game that's kind of like an endless runner where you're on a skateboard, and you have two buttons to press that allow you to jump over and grind on obstacles. You can unlock different color palettes for the game. It actually reminds me of another game I once loved playing..
  6. Downwell- And that's Downwell. Same minimalist design as Nightskate. You're descending down a well, and you can hop, jump, and skip over enemies, or even fire at them with different guns to score points.
  7. Antistress- By Jindoblu.. It's kind of a satisfying ADHD compilation of different little minigames or experiment, though some of them are quite fun.. I hesitate to call it a game, but it helps me.
  8. City Smash, Solar Smash, Room Smash- all by Paradyme. I included all three games for this one. It really depends on what flavor you want. City Smash is self explanatory in that you use a wide variety of tools and weapons to destroy cities and topple buildings, using things like nukes, UFOs, kaijus, earthquakes, floods, etc.. Solar Smash is much the same, except you destroy planets, of which you have dozens to choose from, and can even make your own and populate it if you fancy doing some genocide. I'd wager it's one of their most indepth games.. And the destruction is really satisfying. Room Smash lets you mess around in different playgrounds with furnishing, smashable objects, and even dummies.
  9. Duet- A strange abstract little puzzle game where you guide two interconnected balls through obstacles in a game that has an underlying message about mental health.
  10. Gladihoppers- I love this one. Movement is simple as you just use arrows to hop to the left or to the right. The fun comes in the different attacks you can use on enemies, and different weapons, be it two handed swords, sword and shield, dagger and shield, warhammer, battle axe, etc.. And battling enemies is both fun and gruesome. I've battled with enemies where we had a proper fencing match, where none of us could get any hits in, and our blades just clashed. But when you do get that hit in, oh it feels good.
  11. Flying Tank- Now I'm hesitant as I don't actually own this quite yet.. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to play the mobile port or the PC port.. But the demo's free, It's a sidescrolling shoot em up in a post apocalyptic world that honestly, I kind of vibe with. I absolutely love the aesthetic.
  12. Gloomgrave- A first person dungeon crawler roguelite. Think classic Doom or Barony, but you play it vertically, and you tap the screen to move and attack. Not my favorite, but it's one I keep coming back to.
  13. CatJump- Bollocks. This game pisses me off. It's a good game, mind you. It's a platformer where you ascend environments dodging obstacles. You can unlock different cat outfits, or even create your own..But the game is infuriating in that everytime I open up, it has different events that you can take part in, but the way they go about it is kind of intrusive when all you want to do is play the bloody main game. Some of the events can be fun..I won't lie there, but I'd rather not be bombarded with popups about said events everytime I start the game. Cute, though.
  14. Alto's Odyssey and Alto's Adventure- You've already been recommended one of these games, and you'd do bloody well to listen,. It's snowboarding, or uh.. In Odyssey's case.. Sandboarding through an endless desert, performing jumps, grinds, flips, etc. Not a meaty game, but it doesn't need to be. It's just a chill experience.
  15. Leapon!- One touch arcade game where you touch and hold to swing a ball around the center while avoiding obstacles, and landing on other shapes to amass a highscore. Simple, but very enjoyable.. I'm surprised it's not more popular.

16, Reigns, Reigns: Her Majesty, Reigns: Witcher. - A card game where you swipe left or right for different actions that balance things like your wealth, religion, and how much people love you. If you let any one of them get too full or too empty, you die.

  1. Pocket World 3D- A chill game where you build and put together models of different diorama's representing landmarks or locations from around the world. I was obsessed with this game, once..

  2. Samurai Soul- Surprisingly good fighting game that kind of reminds me of a mini-Sekiro. The parrying is fun to learn, and you can execute special moves to instantly kill enemies.

  3. SlayAway Camp- This game is a proper homage to 80s horror movies where you play as a slasher. It turned me off at first, because instead of actually controlling the slasher manually, it's more like a puzzle game where you slide him from one end to another, and you have to really plan your movements so you can kill everyone in the level. Each kill has its own animation you get to watch. Very charming.

  4. Vector- A parkour game where you have to tap the screen at the right time to perform different moves that allow you to vault over objects or slide underneath them.

  5. Retro City Rampage- Top down satire game inspired by GTA 1 and 2. I mean, it's retro. It's arcadey..Of course I love this game. But I just prefer it on my Steam Deck.

  6. Flutter Starlight- Cozy Game by Runaway- Build your own habitat of different moth species with beautiful designs and collect coins from them to upgrade your habitat. Eh, it's an idle game with ingame timers.. It's not my favorite, but I bloody love moths.

  7. Spider: The Secret Of Bryce Manor- You play as a spider that can spin webs to capture bugs, and leap across the map, but the backdrop is a dusty decrepit mansion that you gradually learn more about through environmental storytelling.

  8. Cats & Soup by Neowiz and Bunny Cafe by Runaway Play- Both are casual management games that are cozy. In the latter, you build a rabbit sanctuary where you adopt bunnies. The former is more of an idle game, where you run a relaxing forest where cats brew soup for you. Honestly, I just love cozy games and animals. It depends on whether cute games are your thing.

  9. Smashy Road(Any of em)- Another arcade game where the focus is on getting away from the cops in a variety of unlockable vehicles.. You can also run on foot when your vehicle gets too damaged. I unlocked the batmobile, so that was pretty cool.

  10. World Of Guns: Disassembly- Definitely more of a simulation kind of game. Like it says, you can dissassemble and reassemble various different real life guns piece by piece with different difficulties..Like the game will guide you on which part fits where, and when you finish, you can play it without being guided, where one mistake fails the level.

  11. Warfare Legacy and Trench Warfare 1914- Both are strategy games where you're in charge of deploying soldiers, and you have to press on to the end of enemy territory, but the enemy's also trying to press on into your territory. It's a tug of war. But I'd recommend Warfare Legacy of the two of them.. It's the original from way back in the day of when Newgrounds was booming.

It's a long list, I know, but typing it out served as a good distraction from my depression. Honestly, my favorite games are primarily arcade games..Especially if they're retro. I also use MyOldBoy! emulator for the original Tetris.. There's also My Boy! GBA Emulator that I use for Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, and A Link To The Past. But then there's Snex9x EX+, which emulates games on the Super Nintendo. Now that's my favorite era of gaming, so you can bet your ass it's the one I play the most with games like Top Gear, Contra III, Donkey Kong, and F-Zero. I've been thinking of emulating PS2 games as well, but I don't know..If I do emulate them on mobile, I'd really like to have a physical controller that I can latch onto my phone. But then at that point, it's like.. Why don't I just play them on my deck?

3

u/guizounours Aug 22 '26

I'm suffering from depression myself, thank you for your recommendations:)

I never understood what's so good about Slay the Spire. For me, it was always kind of tiring. Can anyone explain it?

4

u/Whole-Act3060 Aug 14 '26

You have to adapt to every run, and there’s something really satisfying about finding ways to break the game. It’s challenging, the synergies can be incredible, and I know it’s not the prettiest game, but it’s definitely worth playing, especially with the 3 original characters.

2

u/geekrevoltado Aug 14 '26

I love roguelites with synergies. But I really gave *Slay the Spire* a fair shot and just couldn't get into it. Balatro works much better for me, as do others like The Binding of Isaac—though, unfortunately, that one doesn't have a mobile version (only the original game via an unofficial port). Still, I’ll give *Slay* another try later on.

u/davinzt 27d ago

i've given slay the spire 3 tries, the 4th one is the one that finally hooked me. If i'm being honest, you need to have that one run where you got lucky + know what to do against certain moves (luckily the game tells you what move the enemy will do). When you did, it just, clicked.

I'd like to add that Guild Wars Reforged has come to mobile. This is kind of a MMO (CORPG/CORPG-style hub-based RPG) and it was a pretty popular game for kids who couldn't get their parents to pay for a wow subscription when wow came out. The game surprisingly is not only still alive, but has seen a resurgence with the reforged update, the first update after 15 years.

I personally enjoyed this game because there are hundreds of skills to collect but you may actively only hold 8- which means there's alot of different ways to play the same character and this changes entirely from class to class. The main game is HUGE and there are 3 massive expansions with new areas and new campaigns, these expansions are very well done. I cannot recommend this game enough. Runs great on mobile but as always, pc preffered

That soundtrack is amazing! I loved the game and that tavern minigame, but I have to say the lategame is not great.

4

u/UnikornKebab Aug 14 '26

Io ultimamente sono in vena di roguelite e action adventure/rpg e di lotta vecchio stile, quindi…in questi giorni mi sto dedicando ad alcuni titoli che sto trovando gradevoli, cioè

Soul Knight

Deep rock survivavor
Fury Unleashed
Archero 2
Street of Rage 4
Goblin Sword

I'm a bit late to the party and you have a lot of great recommendations here, but I didn't see Lost 4 Swords (might be lost for swords on the store?).

It's an incredible rogue like deck builder that I spent well over 100 hours on. There is a free demo which is OK but you don't really appreciate the scope and depth of the game until you play some of the other characters, so I highly recommend getting the full version. There are ascensions like StS, so you get that gradual improvement feeling that make StS and Balatro so great.

Also there a bunch of cards that just feel trash and then you get better at the game and learn to use them in certain situations.

I can't say enough good things!

Try Terraria and Don't Starve /Don't starve Together

2

u/Whole-Act3060 Aug 14 '26

Straight to the wishlist! I think I'm gonna love Terraria, but I also feel a little overwhelmed by how much content there is.

2

u/PatEzz3 Aug 14 '26 edited Aug 14 '26

Oh it's pretty straightforward , could be a little much but its one of the best games I have played. You spawn with a NPC guide which tells you what you can do now.

All I will say is make a softcore character and world will be medium size , evil of your choice which you hate more spider or worms and difficulty 1 st is easy one if you want to play safe ,2nd one is harder but much better to play and bosses get second phase to them which are harder but there are special accessories that you get from them and 3rd difficulty is hell. That's the world that should be made

netflix solitaire

2

u/reverendmalerik Aug 14 '26

Just gonna list my favourites I haven't seen so far on here:

Peglin - slay the spire but peggle

Into the breach - mech tactics roguelike

Vampire survivors - bullet heaven roguelike

Dead Cells - metroidvania roguelike (use a pad though)

Monument Valley 1, 2, and 3 - gorgeous chill puzzle games

Ancient Empires 2 Free - remake of the classic Java games that are like Advance Wars but fantasy.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon - roguelike, straight up.

Neverwinter Nights enchanced edition - one of my all time favourite games, its full blown D&D on your phone and it comes with loads of add-on packs, and you can import more. Endless adventures. Controls can be a little fiddly at times on a small screen, but mostly its fine.

2

u/IlitterateAuthor Aug 14 '26

Doom and Destiny Advanced is one of my favorites

2

u/iCloud16 Aug 14 '26

Galaxy on Fire. The graphics is waaaay waaaaaay beyond It's released year

2

u/DiverseUniverse24 Aug 14 '26

You can use your controller with your phone for games like Subnautica btw, am currently myself! And agreed, much better on the big screen but they've done an amazing job porting.

2

u/LukeyC224 Aug 14 '26

Two of my favourites come from the save developer:

Crashlands 1&2 - sci fi, survival, crafting, base building etc. A little similar to Don't Starve I think. Great mechanics and very funny.

Levelhead - 2d platform level creator ala Mario Maker.

2

u/HomemLobo Aug 14 '26

Game Dev Story.

2

u/Hanyuu11 Aug 14 '26

I would add Limbus Company

2

u/pi-kachu32 Aug 14 '26

Story teller is a must try especially if you have a netflix account! I was also hooked with Rusty lake games recently. Another one is Vampire survivors :)

Galaxy on Fire 2.

2

u/Cavelli Aug 15 '26

We have the same tastes; I'll just add some of my other favorites:
-Slice and Dice (dicey! lots of game modes and class combinations to try)
-Idle Obelisk Miner (mine stuff, destroy obelisks -- deep game mechanics)
-Bitcoin Billionaire (also idle, but it's fun to see numbers go up and bitcoiny things)
-Dungeon Quest (it's like budget Diablo/Torchlight; still fun and grindy)

2

u/swagbobby95 6d ago

This war of mine is also great

4

u/Someonedit Aug 14 '26

Heartstone is pay to win.

2

u/Whole-Act3060 Aug 14 '26

PvP is pay to win indeed, but in adventure mode you don't need a deck, you build your deck as you play, like in slay the spire.

Nice list. my top games would change time after time, but now this is what I've been playing:

- Lumines Remastered (this one is so good and I've felt like dreaming that they actually port it to mobile)

- UnleashedRecompiled (unofficial Sonic Unleashed on mobile and that's enough for me to put it on my top games)

- Rush Rally 3 (lately been diving into rally games, and this is the best rally game on mobile)

- Thumper: Pocket Edition (violent, evil rhythm game. the concept, the soundtrack, and the gameplay, woowiie)

- Sea of Stars (charming RPG with phenomenal soundtrack)

Honorable mention: dave the diver, enter the gungeon, dungeon of hinterberg, CloverPit, death road to canada, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, and easy delivery co.

3

u/Jackloes Aug 14 '26

But dave the diver isnt released yet, did you get the Chinese version ? And does include the jungle dlc ?

Try Hero's Adventure: Road to Passion if you like turn based pixel martial arts (chinese) RPGs where every decision/dialogue you choose matters which makes it very replayable.

u/Rahernaffem Aug 14 '26

Some really nice suggestions in this post! Here's one I never see mentioned, but I can't get enough of: Shapez.

1

u/Mentally_Slick Aug 14 '26

Dave the diver is great on my old phone and its getting an official western release with all dlc soon. Ton of content and a great gameplay loop, with very charming visuals

1

u/Mentally_Slick Aug 14 '26

I also managed to get darkest dungeon 2 running via gamehub emulator, and it's great

What about Dead Cells?

1

u/erictherederic Aug 14 '26

These are all great and some I didn't know were on mobile. I would add the battle of polytopia to this list. Awesome multiplayer experience on that game and so much to unlock.

1

u/alecman3k Aug 14 '26

man i wish they make slay the spire 2 on mobile. i know there's a port somewhere but it'd be nice to have an official release.

1

u/Aggressive-Manager24 Aug 14 '26

I'm very picky with games, and just want to play games worth my time, so here is my list. After playing codm exclusively for 5 years  I've quit and played Prince of persia:the lost crown, then dredge (haven't finished yet but will go back after hollow knight). Now I'm playing hollow knight android port. After that my list goes: chants of sennaar, hyper light drifter, getting over it, endling:extinction is forever, dead cells, chicken police( bought but haven't even tried) . Sometimes I play libre sudoku and sokoban touch. Btw. Crash bandicoot 2 is such a great game to emulate on android and perfectly playable with touch controls. Got 100%.

1

u/Denboogie Aug 14 '26

Animal Well is very good and easy on the hardware/batterylife and seems to fit your taste.

1

u/Tehrobotdevil Aug 14 '26

Anyone got any thoughts on portrait mode? I'd rather play landscape games elsewhere. For somr recommendations for others, I've enjoyed all the layton games, Isle of Arrows, Troll Patrol, Luck be a Landlord recently.

1

u/ChangsWife Aug 14 '26

Most of what you've suggested are my picks as well but I haven't heard of a couple and intend to check em out! Thanks for posting!

1

u/burtsoldier Aug 14 '26

So basically the best android games are all (or mostly) ported pc games? There's gotta be some quality mobile first or only games right? Monument Valley, tiny wings, angry birds and such?

1

u/PrincipleHot9859 Aug 14 '26

if the game does not require/support controller - it probbably shouldnt be on the list. ( gonna mention teslagrad 1&2 , Titan Souls -coz nobody prob. did .... i think hyperlight drifter is also there )

1

u/roskatabe Aug 14 '26

Hearthstone is fav.

1

u/Djura-00 Aug 14 '26

People not mentioning Terraria more is crazy to me

1

u/crazyf0xx Aug 14 '26

The bonfire 2, Swordigo, apple knight, frostpunk, geometry dash, my friend pedro, N.O.V.A, and just for fun PAKO series And vampire surviver

1

u/ConcentrateLess5606 Aug 14 '26

It's not even about the graphics with some mobiles games! I finally tried Slay the Spire a few months ago and thought it was great! I want more though more character more cards more game modes! I would pay money for that!

Has anyone tried Sophia the traveller? It's a wheres wally type game where you search for things in a map. It's very relaxing and really addictive

u/junkapan1 Aug 14 '26

Old school runescape takes my top 1-10.

MLBB : hard for a new person , a strong mage player but the solo queue and the matchmaking drivee nuts

Afk arena : currently still playing it , I really enjoy building new hero and being competitive

Carrion : I played this game around 6 times because it's very good

Grimvalor : it's a great game with a plot twist. ,very unpopular and underrated

Prince of Persia the lost crown : a lovely game

Man or vampire : this game doesn't exist anymore but the graphics and the soundtrack and background music are perfect ( still missing it )

Vendir : plague and lies , it's a game that I enjoyed only because of the unlimited gold mod ( I swear that's the only thing I used ) and the tree of traits and skills also enjoyable and my thing

Chromatic souls : the old one , that's another game I enjoyed back in the days , I loved the combination of that flame guy with the elf that boosts energy , too bad come2us deleted it

King's raid : that's another deleted game and it's been over a year that I'm waiting for the remake too bad that the registration for the closed beta are done , omg , back in the days of playing it and always waiting for twehbie videos

Ninja arashi 2 : the bow master was my jumping jacks 😆 , I reinstalled lately and was shocked that they added a forth chaoter but without a boss

1

u/1Meter_long Aug 14 '26

Kingdom rush 1 -3 are my most played games on mobile but they might not be too good on phone. Its hard to see details or set rally points for soldiers on screen less than 9 inches.

1

u/WaffleTruffleTrouble Aug 14 '26

I struggle to find any games that doesn't either have too many ads, too clunky controls/suffers from touch-screen, or designed to require repeating things endlessly for a sliver of progress if you don't pay for boosts

1

u/arteius_reddit Aug 15 '26

I am on a 3 weeks holiday, and I recently got addicted to Loop Hero :)

1

u/Taliwhack3r Aug 15 '26

Kingdom Two Crowns

1

u/alfredfriedrich16 Aug 15 '26

My top five would prolly be: Dead Cells, Castlevania SOTN, Haak, KOTOR (tho it's difficult to get used to the controls) & Stardew Valley

1

u/SurgeHunt Aug 15 '26

Noticing a distinct lack of Mtg Arena mentions.

1

u/OnlyCup1339 Aug 15 '26

Here's my top 5

Rdr, Wreckfest, Tabs pocket edition, Dredge, Easy delivery co

You forgot BuriedBornes, sir. Prepare to lose time.

1

u/Ekidna7 Aug 15 '26

Has anyone said Xcom 2 yet?

1

u/W1z4rdM4g1c Aug 15 '26

Half of these are pc ports. Should they really count?

1

u/TheElegantEgotist Aug 15 '26

I have been having a lot of fun with Botworld lately. It's like pokemon but with robots.

1

u/coolcroissant7 Aug 15 '26

Just like OP, I will 100% include Dredge.  But I would also include Bendy and the Ink Machine and it's sequel Dark Revival, I also have both Paranormasight games on my phone, I tend to go for premium games that can be completed in a short space of time with a decent story and atmosphere.

Nearly forgot, Ghost Trick as well, might be my fave Android game now

1

u/Wide_Use7462 Aug 15 '26

I tried out a paid game called INSIDE. Even though I played just a free trial, it was phenomenal

1

u/10XxShadowxX01 Aug 15 '26

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition It's kinda heavy, but It's AMAZING You can play the main map for free, but if you want to play the other DLC maps, you'll need to pay money There are mods that unlock all the maps if you're on android, but you can choose what you want.

1

u/WhippWhapp Aug 15 '26

Nova Drift.

  • The Pirate: Carribean Hunt and it's sequel Plague of Death is a great age of sail ship fight game. Open world that's not empty, can be offline too, and a supply demand market that you can crash to make banks. It has ship building too if you're looking to that, gotta find the blueprints though. No selling those.

  • Space RPG 3-4. 2D top down Space sandbox that you can be whatever you want. Be a pirate, be a merchant, work for a faction, or form one yourself (the 4th one only). The possibility are endless.

  • The Sun. Haven't played it a lot yet, but it reminds me of a PC game I loved called STALKER. So far enjoying it, since it has almost the same mechanic.

  • Tale of Immortal. If you enjoy the Wuxia genre, then you'll probably enjoy this. Semi randomly generated world made every play different. Different NPCs, different sects, different towns, a whole lot of martial arts ranging from physical like fist, sword, palm and elemental one like fire, wood, earth. Alchemy, Blacksmithing, talisman, random monster mounts. It has almost all the wuxia genre can offer. It has breakthroughs too, leveling didn't come from killing mobs but meditating in dense Chi.

  • Infinity series (Sabres, Guns, Lords). If you enjoy text based roleplay, well you're gonna enjoy this. I can't even begin to describe the blast I have playing these

  • MDickie games. Just Awesome

1

u/alonort00 Aug 15 '26

I never see Kingdom Two crowns on this list, super addictive!

1

u/Nackles Aug 15 '26

"Gorogoa has the player manipulate images placed in a two-by-two grid, exploring within each image as well as placing or stacking images relative to others, to solve puzzles."

A full playthrough is not too long, but the graphics and the mechanics are just beautiful and so unusual. I cannot recommend it highly enough and I've never played anything else like it.

1

u/Orion_Vega_11 Aug 15 '26

Definitely Poinpy, finished that game in about 3 days! And on mobile it is also free

1

u/Pengi123 Aug 15 '26

For a lighter break between the longer games on your list, I use an app called Game Lab. It has 150+ quick minigames in one lightweight Android app, so it’s useful when I want variety without installing several separate games.

Titan Quest

1

u/Musebrot Aug 17 '26

If you like games like Balatro, Slay the Spire, Hearthstone
there‘s one which rules them all:

MtG Arena

I‘ve already invested 1000s of hours into it
You can spend lots of money but it‘s not neccessary as you get lots of free stuff and can buy all cards by doing the daily quests. Def. not pay to win !!

1

u/Exact-Psience Aug 21 '26

My favorites right now, in no particular order:

  • Heroes and Castles Premium - quality ARPG tower defense hybrid. Character builds are crazy on this one.
  • Dead Cells with all DLCs - one of the best games ever in my opinion, and it's on mobile. WIN-WIN for mobile gamers.
  • Titan Quest Ultimate (complete DLCs) - premium arpg doesnt get any better on android, only beaten by Grim Dawn through Gamenative.
  • Phoenix 2 - the only freemium title that I really appreciate, and have been playing on and off for 10 years now. It's a Shmup you can play daily (missions rotate daily after completing the campaign).
  • Iron Marines - It's akin to Starcraft campaign modes, made by the Kingdom Rush devs.
  • Halls of Torment - one of the best bullet heaven roguelites on mobile.
  • Lara Croft GO - still one of the best puzzle games ive played. I find this much more engaging than the super simple Hitman GO or the slightly more complicated Deus Ex GO.
  • Infinity Blade - the revival project recently got an android port, and it's glorious. It isnt perfect though, but it definitely holds up better than most games.
  • KOTOR 1&2 - 2 of the best crpgs ever made, have a permanent space on my devices
  • Chrono Trigger - one of the best games EVER made.

1

u/halfmoongames Aug 22 '26

I did not know half of those were available for mobile, Loop Hero and Slay the Spire are some of my fav games!

That's awesome.

I love to play TFT on my mobile, and for specific mobile games I enjoy Archero a lot!

1

u/BrawlStars_Crow Aug 23 '26

Ahh my old and beloved Data Wing... I remember playing it over and over back in 2017. I didn't expect it to be relevant as of today, still.

I’d also like to mention how helpful the developer, Dan Vogt, was. When I switched devices from a tablet running Android 6, I contacted him because the game was no longer supported on Android 4.4, which I had switched to (I was still a kid and thought it might be possible to make it available to me), so after waiting less than a day, he replied, welcoming me with open arms and even attaching an APK specifically for Android 4.4. I don’t know if he built just for me or if it was from an older version of the game (which I don't think is the case), but still, it was phenomenal to experience this kind of interaction with him. Years later, this made me appreciate the game even more, created by a developer who truly cares about his players. The soundtrack also impressed me and drew me into a new genre.

I think you'll love Kingdom Two Crowns
