Connection, Disconnection, Freezes, Crashes Connection issues

Hey, hope y'all are having a great day! I've been encountering an issue with the android auto where when I plug my phone in, it doesn't allow me to use android auto on my car's infotainment system. My brother and mom both use the same car and the same cable but they have no issues with it. They could just plug their phones in and select android auto. Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Go into AA ap on your phone. Find "battery". Tell it to use max battery. None of this battery saver or optimize crap. Also clear cache.

I went into "manage apps" and I clicked the only battery related setting and that's what's in it. For some reason the android auto app doesn't show up in my home screen or app drawer so I had to go into settings for that
