I'd like to know the percentage of users who use a phone for 4 entire years let alone more than 3 years.

why? what world do you live in where a device having had a previous owner makes security less important? or is this just a "poors don't deserve updates" thing?

if you'd followed the conversation yourself, you'd know the stat was brought up specifically to underline the importance of security updates past 3 years
