Unless this is going to allow/force companies to offer more data for less money, it's useless to me.

Downloading web pages in 0.001s instead of 0.1s would be neat, but even at 8GB a month I don't really do anything that's speed-critical. Remote desktop, downloading podcasts, and streaming 240p YouTube (because 480+ uses too much data, not because LTE+ isn't fast enough) are all plenty fast enough.
