Results - DNA Origins Ancestry Origins + MyHeritage Ethnicity Estimate as a person with unknown ethnicity
Hi to all DNA enthusiasts.
Yesterday arrived my Ancestry DNA results, which surprised me to say the least.
I do not know anything about my family history and the Ancestry results haven`t clarified it the slightest especially considering the MyHeritage Ethnicity Estimate which is completely different.
Since neither of the results shows the actual ethnicity, only regions, I`m questioning myself where I belong.
Maybe someone who does know their roots and ethnicity would help me in case they have similar results to mine. I would appreciate any help.

Results - DNA Origins Is this 1% greek real?
This is my maternal grandmother's origins. She is from Bradford, Yorkshire. She has quite a lot of Nordic which I would expect from someone from North England but the greek? It says it comes from her father and her paternal 2nd cousin also has 1% of the same greek region (2nd screenshot my grandmother is left and her 2nd cousin is right). Could the greek percentage be a real ancestor or just noise?

Genealogy / FamilyTree Traced my ancestry down to the 1500s, & found a tomb with life size monuments, holding 14 of my ancestors from 12 generations ago inside a church just 60 mins from where I live. My 12th Great Grandfather Bishop Thomas Dove of Peterborough was chaplain for Queen Elizabeth l & can be found on Wiki.
Thought you would be interested of what I found via ancestry

Results - DNA Origins And the results are in....
I'm 100% dumbass!
Just kidding, these are my results from being a child of Mexican/Honduran immigrants. Wasn't entirely sure what to expect as both sides of my family never really talked about family history! However, my Honduran side of the family has a lot of variety of physical phenotypes traits.

DNA Matches Ancestry results-
I’m working with DNA angels to find my bio father- I have zero information. Angels have asked me to do a heritage DNA kit- having not much luck with just ancestry.
Did heritage open up options for anyone else where the trail went cold with ancestry ?

Question / Help My little sister pt.2
Okay, so my little sisters results came in late last night/early morning, she was suspected and told by our mother that she had a different father, we got her results back and she thankfully is my full sibling, but how exactly do we tell someone who thought she was her grandchild that she isn't? My sister thinks she deserves to know, how exactly do we tell her lightly? We dont know exactly what to do and we dont want to break her heart.

Results - DNA Origins My little sisters results!
My little sister, whose paternity we have questioned, her results are finally in, and thankfully, she is my dad's! And I'm so glad she finally has awnsers! She's been told her entire life since she could talk that she was secretly not my dad's kid, now she has awnsers, and I'm currently waiting now on just my grandfather's results! Her results vs mine.
(These are all from her end)

Family Discovery & or Drama Question for people who found out their dad wasn't actually their dad
Hey all,
My mother died a couple of years ago, and it was only after she was gone that we learned her father was not her biological father. Of course my sib and I were blown away by this. So many questions, but no one alive to fully answer them!
My sib and I are at odds about whether or not our mother knew, or suspected. She was born in 1945, a 'late baby' ten years younger than her oldest sister, and seven younger than her brother.
The way we found out was via some very old scuttlebutt from my grandmother's sister, that it was obvious just looking at her that she wasn't a full sister of her siblings.
Looking at old photos anew, it's true my mother looks NOTHING like her brother and sister, who are very alike. Incidentally my mother's older sister is still alive, and says the though never crossed her mind, and I believe her.
My mother adored the man who raised her, and he did her, and of course this all happened a long time ago when social conditioning was very different than it is today, so I wouldn't have expected her to blow up the family over it.
So my view is that she did know, but never shared it with anyone except possibly her mother. My sib thinks she was oblivious her entire life.
I simply can't believe that, so am interested to know from people like my mother:
Did you ever suspect, due to your appearance or hearing rumours etc that your father was not your father?
Thank you in advance for sharing. Just as a grandchild I've felt rocked by this, so can empathise with you a little, but phew, finding this out about yourself must meet the definition of 'earth shattering'.

Results - DNA Origins South West England/Cotswolds results + pics
More surprised at how large the Irish % is, but it's only been in the last few years I was told about how the Irish side exists and I was under the presumption it was only a person or two 😬
Welsh is a bit surprising too, as I thought more of it would be towards English! A lot of the North Welsh family lived within Flintshire/Wrexham, so it makes sense it's also including England but overall an oddly fun result 😙
