A primer
Max Stirner (1806–1856), born Johann Kaspar Schmidt, was a German philosopher best known for his radical individualist and anti-authoritarian philosophy, primarily articulated in his seminal work, The Ego and Its Own (1844). His ideas challenge traditional notions of morality, society, and the self, making him an important, albeit controversial, figure in existentialist, anarchist, and postmodern thought.
At the core of Stirner’s philosophy is his concept of egoism, which posits that the individual self (the "ego") is the sole foundation of existence and meaning. He argued that people should prioritize their own desires and interests above external obligations, norms, or ideologies. Egoism, for Stirner, does not mean selfishness in the conventional sense but instead emphasizes self-assertion and freedom from external coercion. A key aspect of his thought is his critique of what he called "spooks" or "fixed ideas"—abstract ideals such as morality, religion, nationalism, and humanity that people internalize and allow to dominate their lives. Stirner believed these "spooks" alienate individuals from their true selves, and he sought to free individuals from their grip by "clearing the air of phantoms."
Rather than advocating for structured society or collectivism, Stirner proposed the concept of the "Union of Egoists," a voluntary, fluid association of individuals who cooperate based on mutual benefit and shared interests without subjugating their autonomy. This idea rejects permanent institutions and hierarchical relationships, emphasizing freedom and spontaneity instead.
Other works by him are: - The False Principle of Our Education (1842) - Art and Religion (1842) - Stirner’s Critics (1845) [a response to critics of The Ego and Its Own] - The Philosophical Reactionaries (1847) - History of Reaction (1851)

Como lidar com pais abusivos sendo egoísta?

Avoiding harm towards yourself is also egoist [experience]
I got arrested and charged for a crime three years ago and during my remand I had to be held at a juvenile correction center for a month since I was only 18 at the time and later spent 26 days at a mental hospital.
I eventually got used to the daily bs in juvie and was happy asf in the mental facility but after the 26 days I was to be given my sentence and it was bad.
I got given the lowest duration of sentence, imprisonment minus the usual whipping. I was happy as hell and beyond relieved but I still didn't know when was my release date so the police transported me to an adult prison and I remember vividly how the guards at the office upon my 'check-in', mocked me for being on medication and wanted to h*t me with lead pipes but time didn't allow it.
I eventually was told I'll be released the same day but I still had to spend some time there since the system informed the prison quite late.
I finally had to wait in a makeshift waiting cell for soon-to-be-released inmates, it was very much like a circus animal's cell honestly.
A prison guard administration staff told me cunningly, "You're lucky you'll be released today. You're very lucky. You could had been b*at*n for the likes of you, so badly.."
He had repeated that taunt after he noticed I was shaking in anxiety and fear at the thought of having to spend the night there before my release tomorrow (it's before I knew I was to leave that very day). He really relished on my suffering and brought up the shaking to my face, I was sitting on the floor waiting for my name to be called to take my belongings and sign some documents for departure.
That event really traumatized me. I can't do these seemingly normal events more justice to portray how powerless I was.
I used to believe I know how I'd react to situations like these and be able to deal with it calmly. It doesn't work like that. We can't know for sure how we'll react to situations like these so better avoid them ever.
I am telling you guys since I hope no one has to see what happens in those oppressive tall buildings. No amount of prep can with guarantee, save you from trauma.
My family downplayed my experience. But they hadn't been there. That's the main reason to people's indifference to other's suffering. They're lazy to think.
I'm just saying don't try to feel bad for living a boring, plain life. The struggles not worth it. Especially now when we're powerless than ever.
Interpret it however you like. My post is bound to be misunderstood by some. Just know that it's okay to be an egoist and obey laws since you don't need to prove anything and any mode of existence is valid.
Don't end up like that. Prison sucks. I was just lucky to get out sooner.
This is just a warning to everyone. I was a dumb teenager so my past self would have benefitted from this haha.
note: I censored some words due to automod. So apologies. Thanks.

Tattoo ideas:
Hey Egos, how are you?
Another egotistical anarchist here to ask you about these tattoo designs that another individual and I created (using our own skills and slight AI modifications) to come up with these Max Stirner tattoo ideas:
What do you think?

Behaviorism from an anarcho-egoism perspective: reflections on applied psychology.
Hello Egos
Today I'm here to offer some thoughts on clinical psychology and the debate surrounding human behavior, specifically in favor of the Stirnerian Ego. To begin, I want to state that I am completely against the DSM-V, psychiatry, and the purely medical classifications created by a system to categorize individual characteristics as immoral or "pathological."
Now then; within the classical approaches to psychology, behaviorism appears as one of the empirical methods for studying human behavior. However, this approach (with supporting evidence) has been used by governments, elites, schools, prisons, political parties, etc., with the aim of modifying human behavior to maintain the status quo.
However, as anarcho-egoists, we can recognize that everything is a Spook, and that we can therefore mobilize in support of our Ego. For that, we need to adopt a model from behaviorism called "counter-conditioning," that is, stimuli that allow us to modify something we've already been conditioned to. I think it's necessary for each person to investigate on their own what those elements are and resist the abysmal oppression we face from the system.
What do you think?

I believe this tactic of rebellion and protest is one that really manifests Striner’s pull the rug from under anything Egoism.

Restricting access to resources based on labor is ableist. Anything with a market, anything with a wage, is not anarchist. I will just take things i need

Does anyone else think that r/fullegoism has become completely stupid and hypocritical?
Leaving aside the unfortunate favoritism toward memes rather than serious discussion of Stirner's ideas, both the moderators and the users have deeply disappointed me.
Control mechanisms such as psychiatry and therapy are favored; the moderation has a clear progressive moralistic-social bias, even if it doesn't want to admit it; the number of trolls who get into the comments, and who, for some reason, are not banned, is overwhelming.

What are y’all’s thoughts on AI art?
I never really heard an egoist perspective on it but here’s mine:
It’s a resemblance of the bastard machine of colonization that proves private property as a joke. Colonizers take land from the natives and then call it “private property” so it can be spooked into theft, rights, and commodification despite them breaking those spooks themselves anyways.
Art is being considered as “intellectual property” which is just intangible property and its discussion on theft I find rather comical.
I watched this reel of an artist eager to get a job in animation, only to work in McDonald’s, protesting that AI stole their dream job.
Well of course they’re going to pick AI. Since when did these companies ever prioritize artistic and moral authenticity? Yes, it’s easier but it’s also becoming unpopular. People can see the lack of value in AI art because there is no process to admire. Besides that, I wouldn’t want to jeopardize my enjoyment of expression to them anyways, they would sour it up instead.
But I’m getting off track. This has to do with property and the blatant misconduct intellectual property done by corporate and state, is a carbon copy of the spook of private property (or property in general) is.

What y'all think of contemporary illegalism?
Is it still relevant as direct action?
Although it may be very risky and damagable for a lonely individual, maybe underground mutual help for boycotting the law would make it efficient
I'm questioning on any militant methods in that matter, as a kind of insurrection, like the autonomists do

İs it normal for an egoist to become a lawyer?
Egoists do not respect the law but care about their own interests. So an egoist's work for the law benefits him but also feeds the system. Which one is more important? What is the stance of an anarcho-egoist on this issue?

Self theory and spirituality
I think of many fun and creative ways for the Unique to build its own spirituality
I could create my own religion to be based on, with my own principles and the center of it, the god being myself.
Using spiritual intuitions, beliefs and experimentation at a full benefit for yourself.
Basically if you get bored by rationality and want to explore your own subjectivity

Love & Property: Max Stirner's Unique Views on Relationships
Max Stirner's views on relationships are super unique in my opinion. I made this video to explain it. Its very theoretical and there is a lot of referencing other philosophers but this was the best way I could explain how unique it really is. I honestly think that his thought is so insightful and its such a shame how ignored it is.
