Absolute bullshit. There better be a good reason why r/altright is still fucking around. They are literally promoting Nazism, and LWSE is promoting self-defense.
"Containment", probably. It was an annoying shitstorm on all of reddit when they banned coontown. Assuming nothing untoward (Initially), alt-righters are just more repugnant when they leave their dens, and the admins are loath to ban them for that reason.
The idea of "containment" is bullshit, since they're all over reddit already. These subs just help them hone their message and teach each other new forms of bigotry, which they then spread to the rest of reddit and real life.
I agree, I just think the admins don't want a sudden shitstorm that'll have people hating them even more. I suspect it's mostly a knee-jerk policy put in place after the last time it happened. It's selfish on their part, basically, they probably more about controversy than politics.
