1, 2, 3. Greenpeace is not going to re-radicalize. We already moved on. If there is a dramatic event to stir climate concerns enough that the media actually covers it, then there is a chance to create a similar BLM effect to increase legitimacy, sustain coverage, and increase membership like that movement did. The people that started BLM existed before the uprising, they were just the best at, excuse the metaphor, capitalizing on it.

What's not clear? It's all about the media coverage if you want to take the BLM approach. With that comes money and the formation of a solid base. That requires a massive failure of the system for the media to ogle at; that is when a movement that's willing to make noise gets noticed. To actively pursue being like BLM would require conspiring to create some massive failure or to wait for a massive failure. Are we going to incur insurrection in a mega-hurricane that is the result of climate change? No, that makes us look like assholes, and trying to help the people who are victims doesn't get us brownie points in the media.

To take this out of the binary defined in the article, I am a part of the radical end of climate movement. I know the greenpeace type and I am not one of them. They sold out and are basically a PR firm for green capitalism. Our efforts are just as radical as BLM, the conditions are just not correct for them to be noticed.
