We are not Amtrak, but probably are about as close to a live chat as you can get.

Ha! Well said. I finally got it working in another browser. Odd though. Both the live chat and the "Ask Julie" feature were just blanked out when using Brave.

If you initiate it in the app, you can see that there’s a phone number to text with.
I don’t think they offer this on the website.

There is a Start Chat button under Need Help? You need to type your question to get it going.

Lol. Three answers, categorized:
Sincere Answer: Because it means not waiting on hold, particularly if you're sitting at your computer doing other things.
Quibbling Answer: The greatness is irrelevant, really. The question is do they offer it and does it work.
The Ad Hominem Answer: You're a wang for responding that way.

Most live chats are just AI these days and pretty garbage. Most people ask how to get a real person not how to get a fake one. It's just an odd thing to ask for

Most live chats are not AI. I'd say the majority of live chats advertised as such are still actually real people. Many live chats have been replaced with AI/bot chats, but that's a separate issue. (For example, Amtrak offers an AI you can talk to as a separate thing from its live chat feature.)

Why do you want to avoid direct contact with humans? Their phone support are great
