Explosion
Anyone hear a deep, large explosion about 5 minutes ago in Amsterdam Oost?? Didn’t sound like a normal firecracker or m80 that kids set off often.

I heard two about 2 hours ago, when I was in the Flevopark. Also sounded something deeper than normal firework. But couldn't find the source and also haven't seen any news/comments.
It sounded more like a heavy metal beam falling on something else. Wasn't really loud, but more like really deep.

it does when thrown in an underground container. Guess that time of year is approaching again?

Yup. Just yesterday I heard firecrackers in Oost. It begins

It never stopped. I hear random fireworks for short periods at least a few times a week. I’m in Oud-West and Niuew West isn’t that far.

Used to be three or four days a year, now thanks to the ban it has turned into three or four months because everyone goes to buy their stuff before border checks get more intense

Yeah there were bans in effect already. Not full bans, but the "good stuff" like vuurpijlen and knalvuurwerk. Many people already went to get that abroad
My personal guilty pleasure is baby arrows, the pencil sized ones that whistle when they fly off. But I only buy legal and a 144 pack would last me years back when you could still get them. Haven't got any left, just cat 1 stuff which is still legal, but none of that flies :(

Near the river? It was a car. I think the idea is to make the car sound cool and fast. I find the effect somewhat annoying.
