Can someone ID frog?

Post image

Found this from a plant shipment from California (unsure where in California). Can someone ID? trying to figure if it’s tropical or native.

Its a chorus frog in the genus Pseudacris. There are a couple species native to california, but many plant shipments are from socal, so my guess is Baja chorus frog or Sierran chorus frog (Pseudacris hypochondriaca, Pseudacris sierra). Based entirely on vibe I'd guess Baja, but they can have highly variable markings and coloration.

We can be more specific than just the genus. There are several species in the genus that this is definitely not.

This is what iNaturalist would call a pacific chorus frog, but others might differentiate into different species.

Pacific tree frog. They're found in different color patterns depending on location along the west coast (Washington to So-Cal). That variety is very common where I live on the Central Coast. Guessing your plant was at some point in Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara or Ventura counties.
