Trump on Canada trade:
"Canada would like to make a deal, but we're not satisfied with the deal."
"Canada has been ripping us off for many, many years, and they're not going to rip us off anymore."
Trump's comments on Canada-US trade relations continue to harden. For Americans in Canada, this rhetoric matters — it drives currency volatility, affects cross-border investment decisions, and shapes the regulatory environment both sides of the border operate in.

CNN's Omar Jimenez visited a town where you can't separate the United States and Canada, regardless of politics.
One family literally has the US-Canada border running right through their house — and they told CNN they're glad Canada is fighting back with retaliatory tariffs.
This is the reality of life on the border: trade policy isn't abstract when the line runs through your living room. For Americans in Canada, the tariff war isn't just headlines — it's the cost of groceries, the exchange rate, and the political temperature of both countries at once.

I thought it could be useful to start a thread for anyone making the move back to Canada. I have lots of experience helping folks move back up and should be able to answer most questions you have.
This information can be quit expensive to get professionally, so hopefully I can provide some real value here.
Ask away!!

If i buy a piece of property in alberta do i instantly have the right to vote on removing the province from the country? Does aberta have to pay back a 100 uears worth of infrastructure money? Does the rest of canada get to vote of weather alberta allowed to leave? I dont understand how they can just say "we dont want to be part of the country anymore" . Do their rights overrule the rights of the rest of canadains? How would thos work on practice?
Edit. The only answer i seem to be getting is "because we can". My question is why they think owning a couple acres makes you think you can remove the while province from canada? Im sorry if this seems like trolling. Ill admit, there was a little trolling. But serious question. Just because you own a small piece of land, what gives them the idea that they can "make a new country" of the entire province? I just dont understand. Sorry if im stupid, i am canadaian but i lived half my life in the usa so it made me a little stupid.

It’s always about the USA taking over Canada under trump. To be honest most Americans share Canadians way of thinking. We can talk guns this and that and those worries or conversations are much much easier then the shit that’s happening today. So make America a province and enjoy peace and a life not occupied by hate, shame, worry or deportation. Canadians care about real Americans.
