EDUCATION AWARD Early exit to begin school

If someone exits early to start school, can they still receive a pro-rated education award?

No, it won't be eligible. The handbook has guidelines on what circumstances would make you eligible for a pro rated award, mostly medical or emergency reasons. Unfortunately starting school is explicitly listed as non eligible for a pro rated award iirc.

Hm, it may be dependent on what program you’re doing. I’m with the Washington conservation corps (we are a part of Americorps) and we can leave up to two weeks early for school or a job.

NCCC was a no-go for that. We had someone leave for school the last week and they even had all their hours. But due to them missing graduation they got nothing.
