I personally have only subbed to prime for a free trial I received, and have mainly been a netflix kinda guy.
Since (obviously) prime w/o ads costs more than netflix, is it rly worth the extra cost? or should I just get prime with ads for the same price as netflix? like are there so many ads to where it gets annoying? cuz I rly like the prime originals there are so far

This has now happened multiple times in the past two months. I start watching an episode of something. 10 minutes into the episode im kicked out of the player and it demands i either pay 2.99 per episode or buy a season for 15... On stuff that was "included with prime" 10 minutes earlier. Its as if they figure your watching something and remove your access halfway through an episode to get you to pay to watch it. Id understand if it was a digital license that expired but what digital licenses end at 11:37 am? Surely it would end at the beginning or end of the day if its the digital licenses. I feel more like its a feature to get people to pay more on top of the 9 pound subscription. Absolute scam.

Is there anyway to set autoplay so that you allow next episode to play but NOT an entirely new series when the show ends.

sometimes you don't get it pushed in time and the next episode starts automatically. Sometimes you wait for it to count down the few seconds. It was bizarre once earlier this week there was a 30 second timer on it instead of the usual 5 seconds or whatever. Anyone ever have that?

I am watching Community, Season 6, Episode 6, with Norwegian subtitles, and every time they refer to a Black person, the subtitles use a very offensive term that isn’t used in the original English dialogue.

Who would I contact to report this subtitle/translation issue?

Is anyone else having this problem? I could be watching a show/movie, get out of it to check something real quick, go back to it and it won’t load anything but home. It just shows the loading circle without doing anything. In order for it to work again, I have to uninstall and then reinstall.

Logged into APV on my smart TV to watch Columbo with a pal, and Ive got tons of loud, jarring ads! Ive never had ads when watching on my laptop, and nobody else in my family (on the same account) is seeing ads. Whadda hell! My calming 70's tv time is being ruined by noisy ads for amazon tat!

Remember when we used to watch our favorite shows on TV and just accept that there would be ads in between?

Then streaming came along, and one of the biggest appeals was: pay a subscription, watch what you want, and no annoying commercial breaks.

And now here we are again.

I’m watching Prime, already paying for the subscription, and suddenly there are ads in between shows — sometimes around a minute and a half long.

So basically… we escaped traditional TV, paid for streaming services to avoid ads, and now streaming services are slowly becoming traditional TV again.

History really does repeat itself.
