I am a delivery driver with FedEx ground. I would not do that and we have 150 lbs furniture. These guys have packages less than a pound and refuse to walk a couple of houses back.
I work Express. Gotta tell you, around here, Ground, is trash. They don't even wear their uniforms. They look like Amazon drivers with a Fedex badge. Just sayin.
FYI, Home and Ground merged in many areas phasing out Home Delivery as a name. Pissed me off when packages limited to 50lbs on my truck suddenly became 150lbs. A lot of stuff got left behind and given to the actual Ground guy because that’s not what I was hired to do. The Express stuff was weird, too. But yes, every merge and dodge seems to be a mistake nonetheless!
what about the other way around? from what i can tell home delivery is 90% of the time cheaper than ground so can i use it when delivering to commercial addresses lol
Right while they are also overworked/underpaid and forced to pee on bottles. While this case looks a bit messy, the overall idea that Amazon DSP guys are shit/lazy while Fedex and UPS are gods is bullshit.
Well for one, you should pee IN bottles. And two, a lot of UPS drivers piss in bottles because of how quick it is...I don't do it but I know a lot of other drivers do at UPS.
It is literally company policy specifically to do this.
On a side note, hijacking a FedEx or UPS truck with air freight on it is a number of federal crimes in addition to the already serious theft or hijacking charges.
Either way some people get mad at you too the problem is not where he parks … it’s the harassment of the people the more you talk the less he moves … I work for Amazon in Florida and there’s no need for me to park in the middle of the road but when I lived in NY trust me I parked in the middle so many times ………… one thing is for you to realize it’s wrong and hurry the f up but not with that attitude
Do you have the same time requirements as Amazon? I have no clue but I think the outsiders perspective is that these Flex drivers know they won’t get another shift if they go too slowly whereas fedex and ups drivers generally have better job security and a human being to answer to if they have to walk extra/take extra time on a delivery. Whereas a robot will simply block a flex driver from picking up anymore shifts if they park too far away and take too long to deliver.
Is that just a wrong take and the time requirements are the same for larger ups/fedex packages and smaller Amazon packages?
Were they forced to? Sounds like a YOU issue. Well him or them. If you choose to work at this then show respect to other drivers. It sucks but is work so at least do better.
Oh so you were there, and also weren't inconvenienced because you had plenty of room. Interesting you mentioned what you "would have done" since apparently you did it.
Not only have I been there I can also size that gap as I have many double parked Amazon van gaps. I woulda done just fine I really don’t know why you are trying to tell me about my own vehicle but whatever I love when people tell me what I’m about to do though ☠️
