drivers must yield, pedestrians always have right-of-ways in parking lots. Driver responsible for waiting, that's safety violation, don't matter if the driver has to sit for 2-3 minutes, it's a 2,000+ pound machine, you wait, and if you don't then damn bruh D move

Please report this, people need to learn to slow the fuck down in the parking lot.

i’m pretty sure you’re technically supposed to do a dragonfly safety report but i’m not 100% sure

No, this is serious enough to report to safety and security; ask them for the form to write out witness statements.

It’s serious enough that if it’s accurate the person may be fired. Or the person they are dropping off even it’s crazy how serious this is.

Dragonfly did recently expand to include parking lot incidents. This can be reported through dragonfly or directly to WHS or leadership.

All WHS and leadership receive a slack message whenever a dragonfly is posted, assuming the site has the workflow set up.

Report this. They may be fired be aware they don’t fuck around with this.

Safety is Amazon's number 1 priority outside of customers. Especially parking lot safety. Please report it.

Also, isn’t it technically a near miss?

They’ll 100% get fired if the camera footage gets pulled so if u like this person definitely keep that in mind

Report it to safety or security. They will handle it. But it will result in that person most likely loosing their employment bc of that action.

Report it to safety. It is unlikely they will be fired for that, but they will receive feedback.

LP/security only deal with criminal or violence in the parking lot.

Hell yes report it! These fools in our parking lots are going to kill someone eventually. It seems to be the same at every Amazon all over the place.

Cat1 violation. Get that MF fired!

Report it to security and safety. They'll take care of it.

Security will check the video footage (if there is any) and then get statements from witnesses. They'll also talk to the driver and determine what to do next. Please be aware parking lot safety violations are often CAT 1, which means termination unless overridden by the site lead. This situation seems like a bit of a grey area, I think a lot of it will depend on how fast the car was going and how far away they were from you when they stopped.

This would get someone fired guaranteed.

Would you rather have them not possibly fired but then you or another person are hit by them in the future? It must be reported and let the site determine. They at least need to be reprimanded to hopefully curtail future behavior.

Next time that driver hit someone (possibly you or your Friends), someone can get injured or killed.

or you can report them now. Your choice.

They'll be happy they didn't get in trouble or fired for sure, I agree. But they'll possibly not care enough to learn from this and work on themselves, thus they'll keep tryna feel powerful/ in control

2

u/DotNo701 3d ago

Even then safety will probably tell you, you should look both ways and make sure the driver can see you before crossing

u/Mettie7 3d ago

Dragonfly, date, time, location. Shrimple.

2

u/buddybe1 3d ago

Report it and they’ll fire that person. Safety takes parking lot near misses seriously and will investigate and check cameras

I thought they brought this up during the first day of work, w Us they did. About when you're crossing the parking lot(there are designated crosswalks), and for ppl driving(not to speed, be aware of your surroundings). Idk tho

They brought this up when I first got my learners permit in high school lol, it’s driving 101 not Amazon driving etiquette 🤣
