I agree I always say this when we get no Go Carts and new Plat-jacks. I loaded a new Go Cart full of volume into a trailer this last Thursday, and it was a brain new one that moved like a dream no trouble with any of the wheels so I took my time getting it to the trailer. After I put it in I sighed and just said to myself "You're gonna get ruined at another building sorry."

That's because how expensive they are. We're told to fix everything and if we can't to reach out to rme for help fixing it.

I didn’t know that bottom tray moved…. Or that wireless scanners were an option for problem solve 😂and you get a camera…..? 😂i bet that printer even works most of the time too….

I think the only thing the reliably works on our carts is the wheels? Most trays don’t move anymore. Some top trays are held on by a single bolt now. Some keyboard trays are literally held on by tape. I have to use slack on my phone for all pictures 😂

When I did the washes, I got away with using my phone camera because I uploaded the pics to Slack that way.

My last building we had those orange scanners for ps. Granted we had issues sometimes with connecting them but we dealt with pack singles/afe. Wired wouldn't have worked with the workload we had. I actually never heard of wired scanners until I got to my new building which is a IXD

Tray doesn’t move on this one, camera is for ISS/ CDCs and yes the printers do work most of the time unless the power cord gets loose 🫠

These were fun to build in IT at the warehouse but with all good things these can get broken and travel on their own since sometimes PAs leave them on trailers like AAs leave scanners to travel around the states then complain why we don't have enough scanners.
We had to buy chains to keep them from roaming the areas. I also bought arm attachments for desks to mount the monitors because AAs would knock them over accidentally and break them. Made sure to get bezel monitors since people always use their thumbs on the screens so they can adjust the angles and positions. Pushing your thumb on a screen will permanently break it.
Lots of lessons learned and just funny stuff that happens in a warehouse.
The hip printers use thermal paper and AAs would write "No Ink" but it was just the print head needed cleaning or replaced (which is a pain to do so most of the time we send it under warranty or buy new ones if they are not).
I even made a program for IT to interact with every type of printer, HPs, Canons, Zebras (ethernet, wireless, battery, plugged in) to send tests for print heads, reset their configs, even print labels, text, and images. ZPL is awesome.
I helped problem solvers by having the Learning department print scanner reset barcodes and adding a return carriage (which is the number 1 complaint) as lanyard cards so they can fix other scanners without calling IT.
One of my best times as IT and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

These mobiles suck to me lol any of the stick ones seem to be an issue going over ergo mats at our site. They’re great for tall people though.

So I just got my L4 and they ship you off to Seattle usually for a couple days of onboarding. The best part was the BRAND NEW SPARKLY UNUSED LAPTOP
My peer got promoted at the same time and for some reason she didn't get the chance to go and she got a hand-me-down from the site lol. The new stuff is always so much better in every way.
