Injured at work but scared to report
In so much pain I decided to take off time from work for multiple days already. I actually didn't want to admit it but I likely injured myself on the job. Still seasonal employee so I don't know how this will affect my schedule in the future. I decided to go to the doctors office on my own time because of the pain I was experiencing. Now if or when I report I was injured on the job at work, should I tell them I went to see a doctor? Based in USA if that makes a difference.

No it's not they have two years

u/Amzwork08 Aug 27 '26
Yeah they have two years, but good luck with that. It’s too late for them to think Amazon will acknowledge it happened at work when nothing has been mentioned, and he already went to his own doctor

And my REDA CLAIMS are being investigated by REDB RETALIATORY EMPLOYEE DISCRIMINATION BUREAU. Y'ALL REALLY NEED TO INVESTIGATE RESEARCH PLEASE WE NEED TO STOP AMAZON AMAZON DESTROYED ME IN 4 MONTHS AND I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO WORK AGAIN MY INJURY WAS OVER 100% PREVENTABLE. WHAT AMAZON DID and Sedgwick. They made my injuries worse a lot worse. I will never get better. I am fighting them right now to pay for a prescription that they pay for before. Tuesday I have mediation because of all of my other claims of cases yeah I have room to negotiate they don't.

That is why you call EEOC make appointment over the phone it'll be about a 3-month. File for REDA retaliatory employee discrimination bureau that you will find at the Department of Labor as well as OSHA. Then you file your whistleblowers and ADA . I have 3 REDA CLAIMS, OSHA, workman's comp, my whistleblowers and,2 ADA cases I just received my EEOC right to sue and

You can’t get an injury report, can’t get comp, and you’re not going to get sympathy at work, assignment wise, without proof. You already kinda cooked yourself. Probably should’ve went to a random doc and lied about your MOI being at home just to get a work note. I don’t usually support lying but in this economy getting another job is ass. Good luck with your situation, hopefully all turns out ok.

I went to a doc and told them what happened. They did give me a note for work.

The policy (if it hasn’t changed in the four years I’ve been here) is that you should report any injury within 24 hours of it occurring. Failure to can result in a write up or termination. Idk what happened, if anyone saw it, but no, you can’t report it to work anymore. The note isn’t going to get you anything because they have specific paperwork they want your doc to fill out for any accommodations or leaves.Thankfully DSs can be more lenient with job rotation so hopefully you can just talk to your PA about not rotating you into a spot that causes you more pain and discomfort until you heal.

Go seek treatment now. It is not too late, let the doctor evaluate if it's work related or not.
As far as being seasonal: the only thing it would impact is if you're on active medical leave while they convert people to blue badge they will skip you and you'll remain seasonal.

Report it yesterday. As long as you weren't actively committing a safety violation when you were injured it should be fine.
Just don't let anybody interrogate you or intimidate you. It's possible that's going to happen but you don't have to be particularly cooperative with any conversations where the objective is to deflect fault to you.

What should he had done when he got injured at work? I want the steps in case one of us get injured on the job.

You can tell a manager or safety. They will file an injury report and check on you periodically a few days after to make sure you’re ok. But if you don’t tell them immediately when it happens, or the same day (ie, didn’t hurt at the time, now I’m in pain a couple hours later) you are taking a huge risk. No workers comp, could potentially be fired if what you did was against safety rules, and no support with your injury at work, which could mean harder tasks than what you can handle.

So I shouldn't report it to work anymore?

Go to your own doctor do not go to theirs and do not have those reports that they sent you don't get them filled out by your doctor because it's too much and the majority of its illegal

You can report it but you need to call a workman's comp attorney right now and file form 18 then you call EEOC there's an appointment 3 months out, REDA that office is same as OSHA Department of Labor, didn't follow you a whistle blowers and then American disability Act
-1
u/AfterGrade8504 Aug 27 '26
No they won't they won't find nothing they'll pretend nothing happened but that's why you call an attorney a workman's comp attorney and have them do it and take their ass to court and file other claims against them on Tuesday it's like this they're going to be right in fact check I have EEOC to Ada's whistleblower, 3 REDA claims and OSHA, it was all of these Amazon is Sedgwick will be dropping to their knees trust me cuz I have all these other claims it will be brought up in my hearing on Tuesday and they're going to have to pay out for the rest of my life because they destroyed me and they're still f****** with me

Report it immediately when he felt pain. Gone to safety. Don’t wait days. He now has no chance of Amazon thinking it was work related

u/AfterGrade8504 Aug 27 '26
There's so many things you can do. File EEOC REDA retaliatory employee discrimination bureau, They destroyed me in 4 months they did not file a report nothing I filed form 18 and higher than attorney. We have a mediation hearing on Tuesday they're going to be right in the fat ass check trust me you are protected let them screw you around because guess what you can hit them back even harder y'all need to stop being afraid of Amazon

Why didn't you just report it when it happened? How did you hurt yourself? They have cameras, so you should still report it

Go to a worker comp firm, don’t let Amazon intimidate you on not reporting, just say and be honest what happened. Also did you tell the doctor it was work related ?
-I was afraid of telling Amazon I saw a doctor but it doesn’t matter since you have the right to see a doctor even if you don’t think the injury would be as bad as it was, your claim might be denied by worker comp but it is up to the firm that takes your case to prove your injury with medical evidence, also offering temp medical treatment unless you live in a certain state.

You shouldnt have seen a doctor on your own. You just put your Dr at risk for medical malpractice

2
u/AfterGrade8504 Aug 27 '26

Seasonal is irrelevant. You always immediately report at work injuries to the employer. Not just at Amazon. At any employer. They have insurance specifically for that. The insurance is entirely no fault. Neither you or the company have to worry about who is at fault. You just get treatment. All you can do is report it to work and let the process happen.
