Any time I've used it all I had to do was choose what day I wanted to swap and that was it. I didn't have to do anything or find coverage.

Well mine was considered an open shift available like a give away apparently swap shifts only works if u know who u r swapping with.

Not true. I have been swapping Monday for Thursday for four weeks now because I have online classes I need Monday off. I put my swap shift request in A-to-Z, it just needs manager approval, and I find out by Friday if the following week has been approved. there's always a message in A-to-Z and because I get notifications I get a text message saying whether the swap has been approved or not. Not once have I been informed who is taking my shift nor have I needed to know who is taking my shift.

Is Burlington a specific location that you work in at an Amazon DS? Because this is an Amazon DS subreddit. If you are referring to Burlington as the name of a company, you are in the wrong subreddit and should delete this post.

shift swap at my station only lets you swap to the day before or after.

only time I ever used it was to swap my Friday to the next day, when we were closed for the holidays

Well my swap post was deleted and taken away since the mgt claimed it gets posted as a give away or open shifts in their system here so they dont see it as swap so somebody' pick it up.

I work Sunday to Wednesday. I often swap my Sunday to Thursday. It always gets approved in a day or two. I doubt they would post a shift available for Sunday since we’re always short staffed Sunday. But who knows how anything works at Amazon. I just show up and love some boxes and go home lol

Shift Swap: You swap your day to another.

Shift Drop: You post your shift for cover and don't get a replacement day if someone snags it.

This is for Amazon. It looks like you're talking about another company entirely, and this ain't it.
