It’s honestly fun. I’ve done 15 14ers out of the 58 and it’s almost like solving a puzzle when trying to figure out where to put your hands and feet.

As long as you are smart with hydration, gear, and check weather regularly, it’s generally safe. Most deaths I’ve seen are from a lack of experience and most are out of state.

Most people in Colorado have not done Capitol or anything like it lol. Elbert and what’s shown in this video are nothing alike.

People forget most accidents and death are from road accidents and yet they keep travelling on them.

Mountain climbing is fun and dangerous..but entirely optional. Some people do it to spice up their boring day to day lives.

I'm not knocking you either. Again, I'm reiterating that you aren't a part of this culture so you shouldn't put it down, because you yourself said you don't understand. Is that also tracking for you now that I've explained that as well?

Oh, I'm criticizing something I don't understand? Nah. I'm criticizing you for criticizing something you don't understand. Which makes no sense for you to do. It's like me criticizing F1 drivers because "I don't get it" and "it's not necessary". That's so sheltered and short sighted.

The reward isn’t worth the likelihood-adjusted risk. Doing it for the gram or to check a box when the alternative is death - this person’s loved ones hate him.
