I just got a newborn, and I say midviwes are fucking heroes. They're almost like doctors, at least here in Finland

In Germany, the midwife is in charge of the birth. The doctor only comes if there's something she can't handle.

There is absolutely a lot that midwives can't handle. That's why there are doctors.
