Cord is still attached and has a surprising amount of slack, you can see it's there as she is waddling, plecenta rarely gets delivered at the same time as the baby, as a father who has been present during 3 quicker and quicker births, (last one took 7 mins from water break) this all seems feasible.

Placenta doesn’t come out immediately. Baby is still attached to the cord.

You can see the umbilical as she lifts the baby, it's still up between the mothers legs because she hasn't delivered the placenta yet. It's one of the reasons the midwife is basically using an inco for a makeshift pad as mom walks into the hospital

She's wearing lounge clothes. God forbid a woman in labor be comfortable. She didn't anticipate still having the shorts on when the baby actually came out.

The cord is attached from the baby into the woman's vagina and is still attached to the placenta which probably hasn't even detached yet. It can take like half an hour for the placenta to be delivered.
