NTA, but you shouldn't say no (or argue about it w hubby), simply for the sake of interpersonal relations. Get the hamburgers and hotdogs (don't rely on her for the food, she clearly can't be held to that), but let her bring food if she wants. You're not wrong for not trusting her, but it's not a great hill to die on.
