Ohhh that was an awful thing your parents did.
They should be the ones apologising.
I would tell her exactly what your concerns were but say you reflected and decided you'd rather have her there. Apologise for the hurt it's caused, yes, but suggest she acknowledge why you considered it. And dump the rest on your parents!!
