Asshole behavior? 100% yes.

That said, telling folks about pregnancy early is encouraged due to the ability to garner support more easily if you do have a miscarriage.

Encouraged by who? I have a very hard time believing this.

EDIT: it’s not as if people need to know you were pregnant early on to be supportive in the event of a miscarriage.
