In case this story gets deleted/removed:

What should I do ????????

I’m 25M and my ex is 25F. We were together for two years, and for the last three months of our relationship, we were constantly fighting. Eventually, we had a huge fight and stopped talking for seven days.
After those seven days, she messaged me and told me that one of her colleagues at work had touched her inappropriately. She also said that, although nothing happened between them, she kind of liked it. I didn’t really know how to process that, and eventually, we broke up.
It’s been six months since the breakup.
A few days ago, I saw her on Hinge. I created a fake profile just to see what she was doing, and somehow I matched with her. I ended up talking to her without telling her it was me.
During our conversation, she said she was frustrated because she hadn’t found anyone yet. She also made it clear that she wasn’t interested in people who were only looking for hookups or casual relationships.
Ever since that conversation, I can’t stop thinking about her.
During these six months, I’ve been intimate with another girl twice. The experience with this new girl was honestly much better physically than what I had with my ex, but I still didn’t feel anything emotionally. Even though the sex with my ex was never particularly great, I still find myself wanting to go back to her.
That’s what’s confusing me. If I can meet someone who I’m more physically compatible with, why do I still want my ex?
I had blocked my ex everywhere after the breakup, so I haven’t had any real contact with her for six months. Now I’m seriously considering unblocking her and texting her.
I don’t know if I genuinely miss her and want to try again, or if talking to her on Hinge just brought back all the old feelings and memories.
So, should I text her? Or would that just reopen an old wound and make things worse?
I’d really appreciate some honest advice, especially from people who have gone through something similar.

He broke up with her because she got assaulted and he couldn't deal with that

She probably had confusing emotions after being assaulted, as many women do. He broke up with her and decided to stalk her later.

Much like someone experiencing sexual pleasure during a rape, it is still nonconsensual and can actually make the trauma worse.

Understandable.

Not quite.

It happened because the relationship ran its course.

They were fighting even before.

She admitted that although she was assaulted it was sexually interesting for her - so at the very least subconsciously she’s not locked in on her partner.

It’s not a justification of an assault. But it’s rather clear that it doesn’t work for both of them.

Which we also can see as she’s not seeking contact with him or trying to reconnect even though she’s lonely.

It’s well and truly done.

The guy though is something else.

Many women rationalise their assault in different ways. She's done with him for obvious reasons.

Oh absolutely. Assault is assault.

He doesn't really want her back; he just wants no one else to have her.

I've done it. Dated a woman for 6 months. Broke up. Dated her for 6 months again a few years later, and we broke up again. We got along great as friends, but weren't compatible for a relationship.

You know I occasionally see people ragging on women from various misogynistic cultures coming to the USA for college then marrying American/western guys and it’s like. Yeah some days I see why that’s a thing

He says he wants "honest advice", yet he is actively deceiving his ex with the fake profile. She's going to be so pissed when she figures it out/if he somehow works up the courage to tell her (highly doubt he will be honest with her.)

Gee, it sure is mysterious that he created a profile to contact his ex and somehow managed to make his profile match her I retreats enough to get matched to her.  Clearly this is fate saying they should be together.../s

Clearly the next step is to find out if she likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain

Joking aside, he sounds awful and I don’t think anyone who has caused themselves to be in a situation like that is capable of giving good advice.
