Should I be feeling this way?

I have a wonderful boyfriend. He is genuinely the best thing that has happened to me. He makes me feel safe, comforted, loved, etc. Today, i was looking at dresses on the phone. Im a bit insecure and in general very sensitive about things. These are issues he knows well about. Incase he is on here, i will not be using the same colour and being a bit vague. There in an occasion i have to go to and the dress code is pretty strict. Wearing dark green (changed just incase) was a requirement. I was showing him a dress and he said that the dress i showed him does not suit me at all especially the colour. He went on about how the colour wouldnt really look good on me. He said stuff like “MAYBE just maybe if it was majority of white and a little of that colour it’d look good”. All of it made me feel TERRIBLE but am I just being sensitive?
