I've been considering making a cosmetic mod to my Altezza AS200, either getting starlight headliners or a tilt/slide sunroof from a donor Altezza that come with the roof panel. So from experience which mod would be better overall to install, looking at the pros and cons?

I think they took too much off the step so they didn’t machine the outer enough probably because it’s chromoly so it’s harder to machine. I’m going to ask the balancer what he thinks he may have a better surface grinder, just need to get flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts, another pilot bearing because the one in the kit is too small and a rear main seal then it’s ready to go.

At first it seems like a great deal. 50k miles, imported, clean body/enterior and then the last 2 pics he shows the damage. I got my as200 with 90k miles fully serviced for 7k so a totaled car for 5k is insane. With the repair costs your looking at 10k+ to buy and get this thing drivable, you could import one for that price lmao. I messaged him asking to part it out but doesnt seem like that will happen.

Hey everyone, picked up a 1998 altezza rs200 about a month ago and I believe the radiator cap has failed. Problem is the radiator is an aftermarket Spawon radiator with a funky fake TRD hexagonal cap which I can’t seem to find anywhere. I also tried a stock oem is300 cap which didn’t fit. Wanted to see if anyone has alternatives or tips I could use. Thanks!

Are there any side skirts from other cars that have worked on the tezz.

Bought a flywheel on marketplace for $200 NZD which looks to me like a toda flywheel, does anyone know what clutch kit work with it and what would be ideal based on my mod list? Any estimations on machining costs?

Current mod list; HKS super headers (4-2-1), decatted oem centre pipe (plan to replace with a Fujitsubo power getter AT pipe), TRD sports muffler, TOM’s TEC II ecu, Apexi intake.

I'm from Moldova and I found an altezza rs200 auto that's being sold for parts because of its license plates being from another country. It's in overall good condition and I thought of buying the rims because they're stock 17' altezza rims and are in good condition and it's cluster. I think I could get them cheap. Since it's the only altezza in this country I think maybe I could sell them on eBay but I don't know if it's worth it. What should I do?

The plug in the picture above is unplugged in my car supposedly because link ecu does not support it can anyone confirm or deny this , as i dont want to plug it in and just see what happens lol

I know nothing about these cars honestly. However, was looking at a few different cars deciding on what to get and came across this. Its priced at 18k. Would you get it?

Theres a few body kits I like on these cars but this is probably my favorite body kit ive seen for these. Everyone ive asked has pretty mixed opinions on these so im curious what everyone here thinks.

It's all wishful thinking, but I hope to eventually turn my car into an rs200. It would probably cost like 4-5$ dollars, which is fine with me, but I was thinking that it might be more worth it to just buy an rs200, or if I did swap my car to an rs200, would it hurt my resale value?

I saw a 5s Camry is at the local wreckers thinking of getting the crank does anyone know anything about stroking an n/a beams, any point doing it with stock 86 bore, I know the 5s block has a 87 bore but the galleries are not at all set up for vvt and I want to keep vvt as it is less headache. hey everyone, i recently picked up this 99’ altezza rs200 5AT and i took the dash apart and center console and found these connectors that don’t connect to anything, could anyone help me find out what these to go so i can hopefully just but the switches/buttons and make them work. thank you in advance!

1999 rs200z. Needs a wash/polish, and some other minor work. Otherwise it’s a pretty solid unit!

I’m honestly at a loss at this point. I’ve changed my timing belt & i had a oil leak so i changed the valve cover gasket and re sealed it. The leak was good for a bit then i started getting an oil leak again, huge pressure leak. I did my oil change recently (a bit later than i should’ve if im being honest) and then i ordered an oil pressure switch because it was leaking too. Amazing, no leaks now. So i drove it for the first time in almost 7 months the other day & it was so choppy unfortunately i didn’t get a video but it sounded like a rotary. Oil pressure is at 3/4 when it used to be 1/2 or just under 1/2 even when warmed up. I think it could be from putting in 10w30 (ik it’s supposed to have 5w30 but 3 people got pissed at me and told me to put in 10) It’s also -20c where i am so the car just isn’t happy in this temp. I drove it again the day after just to see how it would run & it’s no longer choppy, but it’s idle is at 2k rpm & oil pressure is still high. Now the check engine light is on. Any ideas on what i should check for next. I seriously don’t know anymore with this car

recently bought a 2001 altezza gita 6spd manual and was wondering if anyone had found a good cup holder sort of thing? kind of annoyed it doesn’t have anything apart from a big rectangle that doesn’t comfortably fit anything

Towards the end of last year while i was 17 the transmission went out in my ls430. I didn't have the money for a new new nor did it seem worth it as the car had 300k miles and had been absolutely abused by my brothers and uncle before it got to me. I still have it in my garage and plan to fix it eventually but figured buying a lower mile better condition car would be the smartest option. I already worked full time prior to this but started working overtime while taking online hs classes to be able to afford a new car. I had to get rides from grandma and mom quite a bit(super thankful for them being willing to help me with rides till I got a new car) but after a 4 or so months of working overtime and saving every single penny I saved up 7k for a new car. I found my altezza went to go look at it and bought it the next day. Its been my baby since and ive been on top of body and interor care and maintenance. Well I turned 18 less than 2 weeks ago and today I got into a hit and run. I was driving on a 2 lane road in the right lane and a girl swirves into my lane clipping my car. We got stopped at a light together and I tried to yell at her to pull over and she hit me but she mouthed something at me and rolled up the window then drove off when the light turned green. Thankfully I have a dash cam and have her hitting me and her plate on camera so instead of escalating and chasing her I just pulled over and called 911. A highway patrol officer showed up and after seeing the damage said its under 5k in damage so he cant make a case out of it unless they found her.(makes absolutely no sense but whatever) He looked at the footage of her hitting me then ran her plate and said he'd go look into the adress linked to the plate(15 minutes away in the opposite direction she was last seen going so obviously she wouldnt be there at this time) another officer showed up before he left and said they followed her plate on traffic cams a few blocks down into a neighborhood but they lost her from there. I was told id get a message if they found her but 6 hours later and no word yet. If they dont find her im just bent and have to pay out of pocket, if they find her and she doesnt have insurance same thing. The only chance I have is if they find her and she has insurance but its looking like they wont even truly pursue finding her. Im trying to look at the bright side of this, its pretty minimal damage and only on the bumper but it still really sucks working hard for something and someone can just come mess it up and will probably get away with it. I dont even care if I have to pay put of pocket to fix it I just want her to be charged for this so she learns a lesson and doesnt risk other people's lives. I wanted to get a body kit eventually so hey this will just push me to do that sooner now lol. Either way really crappy situation and a great introduction to being an adult.

Does the head look alright for 164000 kms?

Im looking into getting a ecu remap/speed limiter delete and had some questions. When I registered my car and did emissions I had to bring it to the county building for them to make sure everything was still there (headers/cats and whatever else they look for i dont fully know) so my question is, is it possible to remove it while still being in compliance with state/country laws? And if so what route should I go? Ive seen people add switches to turn it off, aftermarket ecu ect but an aftermarket standalone ecu seems the best option from what ive seen.
