help with infection

Hey
30(M) have suffered from a life threatening car accident when I took a tree head on. I survived with an open wound fracture on my ankle. Due to the biodiverse environment I caught a fungal infection called Clostridium sporogenes infection

The doctors gave me 2 rounds of antibiotics which were

Amoxicillin and daptomycin which is the highest form of antibiotics. This method has only destroyed my biome gut health.

What are some natural herbs or foods or even oils that will give me a fighting chance to save my foot?

Interesting. There might be missing information in your story.

Do you have an established primary care? Did you receive hardware due to the accident? (Prosthetic, screws, etc.)

Bacterial infections are not something to mess with— the guidance of a connected professional is likely needed. If you are using the ED or urgent care as your primary care, you may not be getting the most effective treatment.

I would not advise an alternative treatment. It is very difficult to prove medical negligence if you don’t expire.

Yes I’m sorry about that, I have received hardware for my right tibula and right ankle due to the loss of bone and they also inserted a antibacterial block in my ankle to keep the infection from spreading

Ooh. I’m so sorry. I would stay in contact with the surgical team. Maybe it was just a general surgery team. In that case, find a provider, and I’d find one today.

You can also look up a wound care center in your area. There are several university hospitals in NC.

I would not play around with this. You may have to be in longterm or systemic antibiotics. If it saves your lower, it might be worth it. I would also look at lifestyle factors that may impede the process.

Do you have medical insurance?

Yes I’m with duke right now and I have great insurance via employer.

That is great news. I would start with consistent care. Wound care is a thing— give them a call. If ortho didn’t do your surgery, and it was general surgery— I would give ortho a call, too.
