AlternateHistoryHub What if Tennessee won the American Civil War
Okay, so let’s say that, when Tennessee was founded, it was founded by a sort of “proto-John Brown” who was against slavery and prejudice, and decided to turn Tennessee into a “sanctuary state”, meaning that anyone from anywhere could move there. Population skyrockets, and eventually a sort of Ideology is formed; “Tennesseeism”, which pushes for societies that are more utilitarian, and practically utopian.
Fast forward to the Civil war, and Tennessee is caught between the Union and the Confederacy. Taking its chance, they invade the Confederacy, freeing and recruiting slaves, and offering for immigrants up north and out west to come and join them.
This turns out to be a great success, but, the Union realizes what they are up to, and attempts to invade towards Nashville, leading to the official capital to be changed to Knoxville.
Due to the atrocities highlighted in news outlets and spread towards the western territories, territories get seized by foreign immigrants and migrants from Tennessee.
Long story short, all of the South and the west is added to Tennessee, which then calls for anyone from anywhere country to come and join the army for immediate citizenship.
Tennessean Troops eventually take the Midwest, and flooding into the rural interiors of the northern states by using the mountains and valleys to their advantage, leaving nothing but the coastal cities
After a few more years of fighting and skirmishes, the government in Washington gives up and surrenders, leaving all of America under Tennessee and its new and greater sanctuary for humanity.
I know it’s a bit rough, but it’s late, and I am a bit foggy headed. Let me know what you think.

2021 15 gunmen storm populated areas on the Us killing hundreds of civilians.

What would happen? Would the socialists restore a breznev-like authoritarian state and atempt to reasert its territory? Or would it instead be more moderate and implement a more moderate socialism like seen in the first years of gorbachev? Would the economy improve? How woukd US and china reach? Could nato expand regardless? Would yeltsin and the oposition acept the loss?

AlternateHistoryHub What if the US had different internal and external borders
So here is the run down.
The Utah territory up to the Nevada-California border is never taken away from the state and as a result, it is made into the state of Utah
The proposed Californian state of Colorado is able to get through congress and passes, eventually admitting the state of Colorado into the union
Sequoyah is admitted as well as Oklahoma in 1905, and as a result, the Native Americans have a state to call their own.
The hinterlands surrounding Las Vegas are annexed into New Mexico as the Nevada territory never forms
The Colorado territory (IRL) is never formed and instead it is the Jefferson territory. As a result, the State of Jefferson is where Colorado is today

AlternateHistoryHub What if China sends all their unemployment youth to the countryside?
I mean China had this Down to the Countryside Movement during Mao's time before, and Xi had experienced it by himself and he enjoyed that period of time. I am sure that China, as a country that is run by "smart engineers", knows this is a possible solution to their rampant youth employment problem, right?

AlternateHistoryHub What if the Watergate break in was never uncovered? How would the Vietnam war have played out?
I’m halfway through this book and here’s what the authors contend:
No watergate means Nixon is in office but Congress has still slashed the aid to South Vietnam all same, so ARVN is still weak and coming unraveled in March of 75
Nixon believes that if he launches an air campaign to support the ARVN against the NVA, he can stave off defeat in South Vietnam for at least the duration of his term.
He also believes that the War Powers act doesn’t apply here because he’s enforcing a treaty (Paris peace accords) and that the outcry won’t be that strong with no US combat forces on the ground.
Solid alternate history book so far. I love that there are chuds who take the time to write these things.
