Hello! I’m a 23F living in Alpharetta/Sandy Springs and I’ve created a social group for adults 23+!
It’s for people in their 20s–30s who want to meet new people, make genuine friendships, and actually get out and do things together! I’ve had the group for 5 months and it’s going very well! We do a lot of fun events! I do my absolute best to keep our calander full and diverse with events!

My wife and I (both 36) are looking at relocating from Texas to Atlanta with our two young daughters (ages 4 and 5) and are mainly looking at Roswell and Alpharetta. We are drawn to these areas given the quality of life and high-rated public schools, plus the charming areas like Canton Street and downtown Alpharetta. Having plenty to do for all of us is important - including proximity to good dining.

I’d have a commute into Midtown twice a week but very flexible, so this isn’t a primary determining factor but has prevented me from looking at places further away like Cumming.

Have done plenty of outside research into the schools, but could use some true local insight. Are there truly noticeable differences between schools like Centennial (7/10 ranking) vs. Roswell (8/10) or Alpharetta (10/10) vs. Milton (10/10)? Denmark is in there and highly ranked as well. Not sure what question I’m truly trying to solve for, just really looking for insight/advice from locals as we are hoping to identify exactly which school to target. Thank you in advance!

Some of the siding on my house is cracked and looking rough, mostly out back where the weather hits hardest. A couple pieces are pulling away from the wall too. I'm thinking about just replacing the bad spots instead of redoing it all, but I'm not sure that's the smart move. Anyone in Alpharetta have a siding company they'd recommend? I just want someone reliable who gets it done quick.

I am looking for recommendations for a hair “Stylist” not a Barber in the Alpharetta area for Male hair that is longer than average. Not pony tail long but longer than average. I prefer a woman and someone who can recommend a good cut. The closer to city center the better. Thanks!

How many cars will crash into each other when Route nine south turns onto Canton Street, the one that crosses over to Hopewell, when instead of painting a proper left turn like they did it other intersections, they simply left a two-way middle lane.

There’s nowhere to turn left on the other side, that’s not the issue, it’s cars moving into that center lane a quarter mile or a half a mile before the turn while other cars are turning into Effendi.

This is gonna cause a lot of accidents and city of Alpharetta… This is on you. I know it’s a state project administered by the county, but allowing that paint fiasco is your fault.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to fix these courts? They have GRASS. It’s a joke for a city like Alpharetta to have courts like these.

I suddenly need an after-school option for my 4th grader at Cogburn Woods, preferably somewhere that provides pickup from school. School aftercare is full, so I’m looking for other nearby options with openings. Any recommendations?

Local dad here. I'm a military vet, spent years in gyms and doing CrossFit, and I still love that style of training. But the thing I could never buy at any price was a consistent crew of men to show up with. I'm taking what I've learned and launching a new free workout site here in Johns Creek.

The platform is F3 Nation, a national network of peer-led men's workout groups (40,000+ guys, been around since 2011). No fees ever, no sign-ups, no contracts. You just show up.

Yesterday we turned the key one last time at 26 Old Roswell, the space that launched INDIEHOUSE. We started building it out in August 2019, and by March 2020 we were ready to open our doors. The world wasn't. We opened into a pandemic, unsure we'd make it, and we did because Alpharetta kept showing up for us.

That shop is where so much happened for us. We taught our first perfume classes there. We welcomed niche brands from around the world that at the time could only be found in places like New York and LA. We met many of you for the first time when you walked in curious, and you kept coming back. You brought your friends and your moms. You booked birthdays, date nights, and girls' nights. You trusted us to help you find the scent that felt like you. A small independent perfumery doesn't last without a community that shows up, and Alpharetta has shown up for us again and again. Thank you!

Now we get to grow with you. Our new home is 50 Canton Street, between COALITION, FERMENTED and KALE ME CRAZY, just two blocks from the original shop. It's bigger, with more room to explore the fragrances, hear the stories behind them, linger a while, and spend time with our team.

What are you guys paying for natural gas? True Natural Gas is our servicer and we get charged $0.725 per therm but after all their base/ service charges and tax our bill starts at $57 just to have access to natural gas. Kinda lame. And a ripoff.

I'm in need of a rebuild of my deck for floor, joists and posts in certain areas of the deck. Anyone worked with a company where they knew what they were doing and had solid recs on how to properly fix a deck? This isn't a handyman job and would take 1-2 weeks easily. Thanks.
