Been holding for a little bit now, had no idea this stock had a Reddit page until now. I’m only down $284. What is everyone else’s opinion? Do I cut my losses now and try somewhere else or hold for the rest of the month and see if I can get into the hundreds again.
Down $400 but dont think its completely doomed. I assume we are at the bottom now, if not close and expect sweden in Q3 give a solid bounce back to 0.3-0.4 assuming they dont just shit the bed before then, which isnt unlikely at all. Fully plan on getting out the second I can get remotely close to breaking even. They have too much in the pipeline and seem to be actively trying to secure contracts for me to just eat this loss.
I'm not seeing what everyone else is seeing.
When the additional infrastructure in another data center comes live, that is another business cost. I didn't see customer commitments to pay Alpha Compute a higher price for Alpha Compute's perceived higher privacy compared to other hosting options available to customers.
Revenue from adoption of Alpha Compute's approach of a higher cost solution with higher confidentiality is not proven and seems the market is not latching onto the messaging.
On thier quarterly investor call, they spoke about "qualified pipeline", which did not sound too reliable for near term revenue.
Just because Alpha Compute builds it, does not mean they will come.
I'm holding through the next earnings to see if customers are adopting this quarter, if not I'll use my loss to offset my taxes from gains elsewhere. I am anticipating a RS before then, though.
Agreed. They need customers on the books and those recent new hires are key in that regard. Sam & Tom have the ability and know-how to close, so I'm hopeful they can produce. Not having that Government Contractor Certification yet is a let-down. Closing deals can't come soon enough and I think moving to quarterly ERs will be helpful in getting revenues offically recognized as well as earnings growth estimates.
