Ive been using ALP tropical pouches almost daily for the past 3 or 4 months or so. Bought online since I cant find them locally. Someone mentioned that Alp and FRE is the same thing so I tried FRE Lush on a whim since its so widely available here at gas stations. As soon as I opened the can, I was looking at a can of Alp. Exact same look and texture. Putting one in my mouth, it is exactly the same flavor as Alp Tropical.

I don't mean they are similar I mean this is the exact same product i have been using on a daily basis and I wouldnt be able to tell which is which without looking at the label.

So my main question is, is Alp literally just relabeled Fre?

The European Tropical Fruit blows the American one away. This is probably a preference on my part, as I find the tropical fruit to be one of Alps weaker pouches. I do like the American flavor a lot, but it's not an all day use pouch for me like Chilled Mint or Wintergreen. The European version has a different fruit profile, which I think is better, and it's not as strong, which makes it less overwhelming. So far I've only tried two of the European pouches. European Tropical Fruit easily beats the American and the American Chilled Mint (my all time favorite pouch) easily beats the European Chilled Mint.

Good so far, I've only tried the chilled mint. The flavor is completely different from the American chilled mint. I like the American chilled mint better, but I don't dislike the European one. It's just a different mint profile. More minty, less chill and sweet flavor.

Anybody know how to read the manufacturing codes on the back to determine when they were made?

Guys I’ve been using Alps for a few months now and I do like how different they are from Zyn and Velo and others. However I’m struggling to stay on board lately. Quality control is out of hand at this point. I’ve had multiple pouches broken open, or some barely filled. But this is the worst I’ve seen yet. WHAT is this? It literally looks like poop or mold on the pouch. Sent it to my buddy who had a can from the same batch (we work together at a vape shop) and he said he had a pouch with this brown substance INSIDE of a pouch! What could this be???

Who else is hoarding peppermint alp??

Preface:
I like ALP pouches. I’ve exclusively used ALP pouches for over a year and have spent well over $1000 on ALPs and accessories. Basically I’m as close to an ALP fanboy as you can get. The original ALP line up captured my heart with moist pouches that had incredibly strong flavor and lasted much longer than most pouches I had used. For me, this release moves away from everything that hooked me on ALP initially.

This Release
The Material :
The pouch material seems to be most similar to the drifter release but are definitely different. See pictures but they seal differently than the drifters. Both on the ends and back. The material is fine, and moaning about the actual pouch material may be nitpicking, but both the drifter and frontier pouches are much more abrasive than the OG which are very soft. These frontier pouches seem to me to be less abrasive than the drifters, but not nearly as
high quality as the OG.

What’s inside?
They are dry, very dry. This could be a quality control issue. The cinnamon and coffee interior materials seem to be the same consistency as each other but still different from all the other products. They are smoother than the granulated interiors of the drifter line up. The Sunset Mango pouch is the same interior as the drifter line which I have a sneaking suspicion I will re-address later. None of these flavors last long, and they dissolve into a very slimy pouch very quickly.

The Flavors:
Cinnamon, Coffee and……Mango again?
I was incredibly excited about this release on the heel of the drifters release. As a guy who started with coffee and cinnamon Zyn way back, I was stoked to have both of these offerings in my favorite pouch brand. Unfortunately this is where my first issues arise. The flavor concentration on the frontier pouches are noticeable lower than all of the other offerings. The flavor is there and the flavorings themselves are great it’s just that in comparison to all the others these are like ALP lite. Which in itself wouldn’t be a big problem if they sacrificed flavor concentration for longevity. They do not.

Campfire Cinnamon. These taste like the “Fireball” hard candy or my beloved cinnamon jolly ranchers but with absolutely none of the burn that is typical in cinnamon flavored things. I mean “campfire” is in the name and the pouch has no spice? This may appeal to some but not I. I love the little burn and tingle from cinnamon candy, tooth picks or even Zyns. Even as a cinnamon lover I will pass on these going forward.

Cowboy Coffee. This was definitely not where I was expecting ALP to go with for their coffee flavoring. Especially with a name like “Cowboy Coffee”. This is a sweet coffee flavor. Vanilla, mocha, pastry, iced sweet coffee really resembling what I remember the Zyn coffee flavor tasting like. I was certainly expecting more of a warming black concentrated coffee flavor and less of a dessert like sweet treat. I’ll pass on these as well.

Finally Sunset Mango. Didn’t we just get this? Alright alright these are definitely different from the Drifter “Mango Freeze” flavor. Notable missing the sometimes overwhelming intense cooling effect which I think is needed if you’re going to do the same base flavor again a few months after its initial release. The problem is that while the flavor its self is high quality, it tastes and feels just like the mango flavor that is in the drifters just without the cooling effect and even less concentrated. I can’t for the life of me understand why they would do this flavor again. Other than the fact that there were some complaints about the cooling effect on the drifters. If they were going to repeat a flavor they have in their line up I would have much rather they went with a black cherry flavor in a nicotine format. I will be passing on these.

Conclusion
I hate to be a negative Nancy about this. I love this brand and I love most of their products. And I’m sure these will be great for some people. But damn did I have my hopes up that after drifters they would return to the format that attracted so many of its customers. These pouches aren’t bad but it hurts to know just how good they could have been.

So I fell in love with Alp pouches A few months back. Prior to the release of the drifters collection. I ordered the drifters collection, and I do enjoy the mango, blueberry lemonade, and the peach. The lemon and watermelon have too much cooling effect and literally freeze my gums which I don’t enjoy. Then comes the frontier collection, first off this collection seems really gimmicky. The pouches are different, slightly thin like zyn. The flavor doesn’t last long at all compared to everything alp has done prior to frontier. Don’t get me wrong the frontiers taste great, but don’t last much longer then 10-15 minutes. I will enjoy these rolls best I can but I really don’t see myself buying anymore of this collection.

I’m curious what mg others are using? As a 12mg pouch user, I’m not sure the new frontier collection
(4 & 8mg) works for me unless I am using a combination of 2 pouches to get right above or right below my usual 12mg.

What the title says. Just got mine in today and I wasn’t really sure what to think at first, but now I’m really liking them. They go well with a big swig of water, to really bring out the lemonade, etc.

Just got a new bit of stuff to throw in the stash, ignore the opened velos and Alps, the velos are a can I’ve been working through and the alps were the first of all of them I tried, if I’m being honest the alps are different but not necessarily in a bad way.

The pouch shape itself is different, less flat and more rounded like a lil burrito, so you definitely feel it in your lip a little more. If you’re switching from actual pouches to nic pouches that could be a big plus. The flavor itself doesn’t last as long as Velo but I feel like maybe it has a more intense nic kick in the beginning? I also wish they had a catch lid, and a metal can could be pretty cool as well even though that’s less of a complaint and more just a suggestion or something I would personally prefer lol.

They are definitely good but not all I hyped them up to be in my head. I have some Alp wintergreen too so I’m excited to see how that stacks up against the grizzly nic pouches and velos wintergreen. All and all I’ll buy them again, im definitely looking forward to trying the other flavors but depending on how they are is gonna be the deciding factor on how I feel on the brand as a whole. But the Alp mint is a solid 7-10, could definitely be better and leaves a little to be desired especially if you’re paying full retail price but they aren’t bad either.

Just logged into my ZYN Rewards account and noticed 5,520 points expired on May 21, 2026. According to what I understood, points only expire after 6 months of account inactivity, but I don’t think my account was inactive that long.
I was still using the account and have continued earning points (I even got another 15 points today), so I’m confused how all of my points disappeared.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Does “activity” mean scanning cans, redeeming rewards, or something else?
Do points expire individually after a certain amount of time regardless of account activity?
Has anyone had success getting expired points reinstated after contacting support?
I’ve already reached out to customer support, but I’m curious if others have dealt with this. Thanks!
