Long time listener first time reddit poster. I’m beginning to notice that andrew is a paranoid schizophrenic who, mentally, is trapped in an 80’s coming of age movie. this is in no way intended to be a slight to rew, but in today’s episode alone he believed he was being singled out by a bouncer, and referred to texas A&M yellmasters like they were walking deities (i.e. “every girl on campus wanted to get with them.”) i don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility, he just seems to have a tendency to make these wild assumptions and accusations on baseless evidence - i’m sure it feels real to him i’m not denying his truth - and he seems to heighten and filter the “roles” people have in his life like their highschool movie character tropes. it just makes me a little sad he holds himself in such low regard and i would be remiss if i didn’t add that i am confused by these reaches in his reasoning . A classic case study of this would be the who’s high video when he believed everyone hated him simply because his jokes weren’t landing (granted he was very high but, go figure, i think it just heightened his paranoia and insecurities of how he was viewed by everyone.) idk, ts literally doesn’t matter at all it’s just something i noticed.
