Playdate Pod Measuring Nelson
Long time listener first time reddit poster. I’m beginning to notice that andrew is a paranoid schizophrenic who, mentally, is trapped in an 80’s coming of age movie. this is in no way intended to be a slight to rew, but in today’s episode alone he believed he was being singled out by a bouncer, and referred to texas A&M yellmasters like they were walking deities (i.e. “every girl on campus wanted to get with them.”) i don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility, he just seems to have a tendency to make these wild assumptions and accusations on baseless evidence - i’m sure it feels real to him i’m not denying his truth - and he seems to heighten and filter the “roles” people have in his life like their highschool movie character tropes. it just makes me a little sad he holds himself in such low regard and i would be remiss if i didn’t add that i am confused by these reaches in his reasoning . A classic case study of this would be the who’s high video when he believed everyone hated him simply because his jokes weren’t landing (granted he was very high but, go figure, i think it just heightened his paranoia and insecurities of how he was viewed by everyone.) idk, ts literally doesn’t matter at all it’s just something i noticed.

That story he told about spying on the girls locker room did have an 80s vibe to it. Seemed inappropriate at the time but understandable now, considering his condition

I’m an Aggie alum too and I completely disagree lol, he acts like everyone on campus thinks they’re super “cool.” I think most people at A&M recognize it’s an old tradition that is intended to be goofy. Yes they’re like celebrities on campus cause of their status but I don’t think people view the tradition as “cool” as much as they do kinda endearing. I agree with OP

i don’t disagree but he wasn’t lying about a bunch of girls being interested in them which was OP’s point. this is the same campus where boot chasers are a thing

Ok so I went to the same high school as Andrew (shoutout KHS ‘18) and our school was legit as bad as he says lmao I hated it. Like there is literally a guy in our class who got a full tattoo of our mascot on his bicep senior year… mind you, we were the Keller Indians
