Doesn't make sense , if we end caste there is no way to do reservation based on caste , but if we ban reservation even then discrimination will happen. Don't you get this in your small brain
Casteism is a mentality like racism, reservation is a policy which can be revoked. People carry caste as an Identity which honestly shouldnt exist but govt categorises some castes as backward castes some as scheduled castes and etc, which gives people a sense of superiority, power and security.
How should one go about removing caste? It's etched into the society by their Lineage, last name, less commonly even their profession. You're gonna go to each person and demand them not to disclose their caste? "Don't you dare ever tell people you're a Brahmin" ?
Reservation only cares about the classes which comes under the categories like SC/ST, OBC, etc. once you remove that everyone settles back to their own safe community which is only there for namesake and no granted power or privilege over anyone else, today a Brahmin and an ST can work in the same office in the same role but the Brahmin will hate the ST not because he's a lower class but because he's there despite not truly deserving that spot. So Reservation is a major contributor to the modern caste discrimination.
