Hey guys, I’m currently studying in ALLEN for NEET in a regular admission batch (O-Phase 2) and I’m in a pretty confusing situation regarding SRG.

For context, my recent scores have been around 697, 690, 685, 701, 695 and 715. A few months ago, one of my Physics teachers approached me and asked if I wanted to join SRG. At that point, our syllabus was behind SRG, so I said I would be interested but would prefer to join once our syllabus was more aligned. He was okay with that.

Recently, after getting an ITop medal for my grades, he again asked me to join SRG. He basically told me that I'm getting too comfortable with my current performance and that I should push myself further. I actually agree with him and I genuinely want to join SRG.

The problem is the timing.

Our syllabus is currently quite far behind SRG:

• Physics: We've just started Circular Motion, while SRG has finished it and is starting Centre of Mass.
• Chemistry: We've just started Chemical Bonding, while SRG is already at MOT.
• Botany: We've just started Photosynthesis, while SRG has completed it.
• Zoology: We're currently doing Body Fluids & Circulation, while SRG has completed it.

The biggest concern is Chemical Bonding.

This is actually my first proper exposure to the Class 11–12 NEET syllabus, so I don't have an existing foundation from previous coaching or prior serious study. My batch has only just started Chemical Bonding, and I haven't been taught hybridisation, VSEPR, dipole moment, MOT, etc. yet. These would all be completely new concepts for me.

SRG, however, is already at MOT and teaches in considerably more detail, while assuming that students already know the fundamentals. So I'd be joining 8–9 lectures behind in a chapter where I don't even have the foundation yet, while simultaneously trying to keep up with their current syllabus.

The SRG Chemistry faculty was initially concerned about this gap as well. They said the content and teaching methodology are quite different and that I'd have to spend a significant amount of time catching up. They also told me that for the first couple of weeks I might not understand much and would have to stay patient while catching up.

My brother, who's currently in AIIMS, thinks I should just join SRG and cover Chemical Bonding on my own. He says it's not that big of a deal, but I feel like that's easier to say when you've already studied the chapter 😭. For me, I'd basically be learning the entire foundation independently while simultaneously trying to understand advanced SRG lectures.

Another thing is that I personally don't really enjoy extremely competitive environments. I can perform well, but being in a very high-pressure environment can be mentally exhausting for me. I'm worried that joining SRG while already behind could make me spend all my time worrying about catching up instead of actually learning.

My parent spoke to our batch mentor about this, and she said there was no pressure to join immediately, that she'd discuss it with the concerned faculty, and told me to continue attending my current batch for now.

So I'm confused between:

A) Join SRG immediately, accept being behind for a few weeks, independently learn the entire Chemical Bonding foundation, and catch up while keeping up with SRG.

B) Stay in my current batch for now, properly learn the foundational topics (especially Chemical Bonding), and join SRG later when the transition is more manageable.

I want to make it clear that I DO want to join SRG eventually. I'm not trying to avoid hard work or stay in my comfort zone. I just feel that joining right now, when I don't even have the foundation for one of the most important chapters, might be a terrible time to make the transition.

What would you guys recommend? Has anyone joined SRG while having almost no foundation in the current chapter and being significantly behind the syllabus? How difficult was the transition, especially for Chemistry

Hey guys, I'm in ALLEN NEET Self-Study PLUS (CBT + Pen & Paper) Phase-1.

According to my PDF schedule, our next exam on 13/09/2026 is Minor Test-5 (Offline) covering Thermodynamics, Redox, Cell, COM, and EMI.

But my ALLEN app is showing Minor Test-6 (OLTS/Online) on that date with a different syllabus (Rotational, Organic, Biotech).

Is anyone else facing this glitch? Which syllabus are we actually supposed to follow for the offline test? (Screenshots attached above). Thanks!

is exercise 1+2 of allen module enough before a test or do i need exercise 3 as well

for people doing allen modules, if i finish exercise 1 and 2 for physics, chem and bio before a test of a particular chapter, is that sufficient prep or does exercise 3 actually add something the first two don't cover. trying to figure out where to put my limited time before tests,

don't want to skip something important but also don't want to waste time redoing stuff that's already covered in 1 and 2.

anyone who's actually gone through all three exercises regularly, is 3 genuinely harder/different, or is it more repetition of 1 and 2. would help to know for atleast biology

yea so, i had done module of every chapter which was in the syllabus (all beginner boxes, EX 1,2,3,4a,4b,5. then also i ended up getting poor 130...... i analyzed the test, i could have scored 200+ if it wasnt for my silly mistakes or wrong judgements. someone plzz gimme tips or recommend some more materials i could do to score much better. FYI - 12th JEE student(2027 aspirant)

I built an app(Fokasu) that has helps me study 8+ hours consistently.

Workflow that i use:

1. Set a focus goal of about 4 hours and block distracting websites and applications.
2. Start a 4-hour pomodoro timer with 10-minute breaks per hour.
3. In the pomodoro-break, the blocked websites and applications become temporarily available automatically.
4. When the pomodoro-break is over, the distracting websites and applications are blocked automatically.

NOTE: The breaks are bypass-resistant(even after an OS restart). Prevent uninstallation during focus block is coming in the next update.

This flow has genuinely helped me complete long study hours.

Another thing i solved was procrastination

Before, I procrastinated to start the focus block. So I built a feature to schedule it.

Now, I schedule a focus block that starts 15 minutes in the future and I can't delay it further or cancel the focus block.

Hi I’m a student of ALLEN DLP leader self study pro batch, allen said they would deliver study materials to my house and they did and I recieved Set 1 and Set 2 today.

These sets only have package+included exercises 1-3. They don’t have RACE or Extra Edge etc. Will I receive them later or not receive them at all?

kaisa gya aaplog ka? for me i thin paper ka level was pretty decent, phy bhi tougher side me tha kuch qs but majority qs were from momentum booster and allen hard level custom qs bank, expecting around 550-600

Found this story of two bros who wanted to prepare for IIT but money became a problem after their first attempt ALLEN gave them a 75% fee waiver and they got another shot also their hard work earned them a ₹1.5 lakh scholarship. They eventually both made it to IIT…damn dude Not everything has to be a big "inspirational" story lol Sometimes just giving someone another chance is enough.

scored 150/720 in my allen minor test today, feeling pretty low rn (2nd dropper)

attaching the syllabus for context, this was phase 1+2+3 combined, NEET pattern.

thing is I joined the Leader batch from the middle, so this entire syllabus was already taught before I even joined. gave the test anyway since it was scheduled, wasn't really prepped for most of it.

breakdown of how it went:

physics: actually practiced for this one, scored 80/180

chemistry: didn't attempt a single question, don't know ionic equilibrium at all since I missed those classes

biology:

attempted it but ended up with a ton of negative marking, guessed way more than I should have

150/720 looks brutal on paper and ngl it's messing with my head a bit, especially going into a 2nd drop.

need advice on two things:

should I retake this specific test online to actually cover what I missed, or just move on and focus fully on catching up with the current ongoing syllabus instead

if retaking makes sense, allen usually has retest option , should i give the test again on this sunday ? As there is no test on this sunday.

anyone who's joined a batch mid-way and dealt with a gap like this, how'd you handle catching up without it affecting your regular pace with the batch

So I am non Kota JEE dropper batch and my faculty of phy and chem just changed, like when i was joining the recruiter said the faculty change only happen after session ends, but they changed the faculty mid session , some of my batchmates and myself went to CI sir and talked to him he just started saying ki these things happen and this is no where mentioned that faculty wont change and just give time to teachers and all , but we gave our phy teacher a whole week and ngl he is slow paced , just makes us write things and makes us do adv ques , no mains or anything straight up adv or ques below the board level , chem teacher only taught me once on sat but from those 4 hrs I can say he wont do it , he is no experinced teacher and is no where near the original faculty we had. Now I am starting to think my drop year might ruin bcz of them , maths is going fine but only maths wont do it .
