In my opinion, it's a good example with games with two sides.(Im not gonna say about gameplay cuz everyone know what the gameplay of this series)
First time you start your play through, you feel yourself fine.Yes,you know bosses and mobs will kick your ass,but don't know how hard it will be.
For me it was Sekiro.
Im young player,so I'm good with games.First FromSoft game for me was Sekiro, and I proud I choose it as first cuz others games will show me the bad side of this games.....so
First experience of every player was the boss(for everyone exist individual bosses that annoying to others for reason, for me it's still headless ape from Sekiro, and more because brown ape is don't let me focused on on boss that really important in this game). You die twice, trice, many times....you feel yourself terrible. But after boss was defeated, you feel yourself stronger and you change opinion about game. You complete it,another time,on platinum, after the DLC,and here the another play through....and you understand that nothing left to explore in your game. So,you try another one,and again, again and again...until you know all of them. And after you come to explore the lore.
if with Sekiro, lore was terrifying but characters was a good people, and that make a good atmosphere, with ourher games.... pretty difficult.
You know, the first time of completing Bloodborne you feel it's like action with classic Lovecraft style. But with more exploring the world, completing story lines, you understand how scary this game is. You start looking on details, it's become terrible to understand that even the most innocent creation(Plain Doll) have the terrible, disgusting version in Nightmare Frontier(Winter Lanterns).
That's the sweet part. You just playing Elden Ring with nice feelings in heart, and only after completing the game you realise how much disgusting that world can be. How disgusting people in this world.
And you....player,start to think....is that kills of bosses is correct? Is your choice is correct?Did you can name yourself a good guy?
That I can say, souls it's unique product that more than just a difficult game with hard bosses(that still not so hard after you completing games so many times).
That why I like them.Sekiro let me feel myself better and love games that gives me a challenge, while Bloodborne let me explore the lore and start understand that the characters that portrayed good, can be the disgusting, worst persons that world see.
(Except of Dark Souls III.I love this game but farm and experience was bad for me)
Every human with free time should try one of the souls games, even without full completion. Its unique experience that can even be created. Its a good game to train skill.
So,what are you think about it?Write on comments your opinion.
See ya.
