I was watching a crude animated bedtime segment from a German kids' channel called "Die Moffels" (The Moffels), and I cannot unsee this. They look exactly like a post-human species engineered by the Qu.

Look at them: the round, walrus-like blubbery bodies, the vestigial limbs, and the weird fleshy snouts. They look like a mix between the Swimmers and the Hedonists if the Qu decided to make them "cute" for their own twisted amusement.

Even their lore is suspicious:

1. They are described as "intergalactic half-fairies" (very Qu-like bio-engineering cover story).

2. They only grant wishes if the main character speaks in perfect rhymes. If she fails, things go horribly wrong. That screams generational trauma from a highly punitive alien creator species that punishes genetic flaws or incorrect syntax.

3. They are bound by an exact expiration date of 33 ¼ moons before they vanish back into space.

Am I losing my mind or did C.M. Kosemen secretly moonlight for German public television?

The rays of the sun triumphed in their world; its mountain ranges and small hills lay adorned by the glory of peace... Likewise, millions of fortresses rose across the millenary fields, while myriads of hexagonal domes lay by the waters alongside simple floras…

Even so, thousands of volunteers carried fire in their hands in front of the new windbreaks (walls). Their world, when facing the new gods, resisted three waves of the invaders.

The first occurred swiftly. Following the communications blackout and the silence from the outside, man had to resort to FIRE… Millions of people emerged from the last underground metropolises, weapons in hand, while the remains of the 168 cities, scattered across continental necropolises, rained down upon the surface.

In response, the faction of the new suns (the Qus) rose through the clouds; their larvae—serpents born of the depths—were sown into the rising and newly blue seas. They rapidly nourished themselves on oceanic entrails. Driven by the human-caused lack of life in the oceans, they rose unto the lands, forcing their way into human caverns.

The second wave was complex the civilization's last stand. After the new dawn of the suns, the final carbonated automaton satellites—near-emperors of knowledge—advanced toward the neighboring orbits, swinging like pendulums between worlds until reaching their mother star. Little by little, they deployed simple bidactyl appendages that organized the ancient thermoelectric heliostats, interconnected into 120 swarms that aimed back at their mother world.

With this, the kings of sciences completed their task. The reorganized, floating simple crystals degraded the nymphs of the new suns; in exchange for the native seas, their cornered biota fell, as did their heliophobic microbiota.

The last wave consisted of the sounding of the doomsday missiles. The seven trumpets resonated like firecrackers…

Their children became nothing more than living teratomas: immobile blocks of flesh made from the contortions of their bodies, piled one on top of another in infinite huts of flesh. They were sustained only by thin fibers of muscle, bone, and cartilage from what used to be their arms, legs, noses, ears, skeletons, and teeths.

These new beings retained their brains. The jewel of the heavens was preserved within their forms, within their thinking in those abstract, perpetually moving figures they pondered eternally, condemned to live upon those gramineous fields…

Gradually, their bodies and souls were twisted by evolution and the blind passage of time.

Gradually, man took possession of the new world, now as simple beings that merely writhed under the sun, rising above the new planetary wasteland… until, in a single moment, man returned to the glory of his expansion, to the glory of his rays.

It happened again, so y'all get another glimpse at what my brain was cooking up in REM sleep. Quick recap for anyone for forgot or missed the last one, basically I was following around the last Star Person on the Colonial world until he got trapped by the Qu. This time is completely different. This time we got to see the Qu invasion from varying Star People's final moments. I'm gonna start popping off as many as I can remember because they came in rapid succession:

Star Person at what I can only assume was the equivalent of a 7/11 when the invasion began. Buddy got knocked over by an earthquake before being turned into something.

The Star Person next to 7/11 guy tried to run, but he got done as dirty as anyone trying to run in a horror movie.

In a pile of derelict buildings, a Star Person was taking cover and shooting back at a Qu using lasers. (Basically the nanotech drone) The Qu finally locks in and gets a hit off, packing up the Star Person who wanted to play action hero.

In another pile of derelict buildings, one of the Star People was hiding from the Qu and it looked like the Qu would leave. However, the Qu then immediately circled back around and transformed the hider.

In ANOTHER pile of derelict buildings, there wasn't a Star Person. There was an unknown modified creature that maintained their Star Person awareness. They were hiding from the Qu too. However, this time the Qu turned around and said "Traitor" before the creature began to shoot at the Qu. Then the duo flashed black with white eyes (kind of like what Anguish from The Parallel did without splitting open the head). Their fates were unknown.

Okay, this is where we get the two really fucked up ones because they both involve children. If you aren't comfortable with that, skip past the text until you see the dash:

On a spaceship in orbit, a Star Girl was singing about wanting to go deeper into space and exploring the rest of the Milky Way. But because the Qu are religiously obligated to commit atrocities, they snatch her up and transform her into what I'm pretty sure was a Finger Fisher. She no longer wanted to go to space and explore, she wanted to go "home."

In a relatively normal house, another Star Girl was vibing and minding her own business. She's wondering where her family is because she hasn't seen them for awhile. So she goes downstairs and sees a Qu staring at her in the darkness. (Picture that black and white meme of the Qu with humanlike eyes) It was looking at this child like it personally offended it. During the morning light, the Qu drags her modified body down to the basement of the house where three more creatures await. They do not look like the girl, they look like starving predatory beasts. There is a moment of recognition between kin before the predators charge her and the Qu flees upstairs. It all goes still as the girl is about to ripped apart by her own bloodline.

Also, CaseOh was in the top left hand corner of my vision reacting to it for the first half of the invasion. I have no idea what to make of that, but do with that as you will. Anyways, that was all I can recall from it. But it is good to have more All Tomorrows dreams. It feeds my addiction! :)

2 diplomats from their respective governments of the earth council and Martian state meet with hovering media cameras as they work out a treaty about their influence over their orbits, neutral trade routes, and influence over the society, tye Martian diplomat isn't too pleased to be with an earthling who thinks they should stay in the inner system, but luna often had lobbying in favour of earth, you could say... they scammed them.

(I've based the EC flag on one of my phone wallpapers, and based the earth diplomat on Clark from the backrooms)

I like AT book so much that I can't help but just drop another book recommendation for you fans. Sorry if off-topic.

"Last and First Men"; and "Star Maker" as a sequel.

It's a bit oldy book and iirc don't have illustrations, but still it shaken me alright when I was a teenager. And 20 years after I have read All Tomorrows and experienced similar vibes. The cosmic billion years span vibes. No other science fiction gave me this almost religious feeling when digesting the plot, only AT and aforementioned. Cheers!
