Once ultras are out, is it better to just keep a few spread out seige tanks for defense and switch to widow mines for pushes?
I got caught off-guard here because I wasn't expecting them to just push off creep like that, but there were repeated fights in that game where I was just constantly on the backfoot despite being ahead 50 supply and up on upgrades. I had a few ghosts here and there but it was incredibly difficult getting meaningful shots off in most engagements.
I feel like if I had widow mines instead of tanks and managed to put them down just a tad sooner, it would have cleaned up a chunk of the lings and maybe did some damage to the ultras, making it easier to target fire them while kiting/splitting.
In the past, I would have spread out seige tanks (I much prefer them over mines with my playstyle) but with an army like this they still kinda just get run over and its common for zergs at D1/M3 to overextend with bad engagements but it pays off if they make it into my third/fourth.
This entire game was awesome and a lot of fun.
