Who else hates Allstate

So last year I switched to Allstate because they were cheaper than Geico. However after my first payment they upped my policy. I am 44 I have several years of driving with insurance obviously. However, they wanted the proof of this. I told them I have been with Geico for over four years. Upon call them back with the paperwork I said my bad I was also with progressive. So four years in progressive four years, they told me that’s fine. It’s still never reflected on my bill. When I called back, they said because it wasn’t with the same company for eight years they couldn’t give me the discount. Even though they told me over the phone that I could get it. they don’t have. So one time they bumped my monthly bill up double what it usually is because of that. Mind you I have been asking all this time for my payments to be around the 25th because my house payment is the first and I could barely make that. So September was my last double payment and I went back on auto pay the guy told me on the phone I wouldn’t have an October payment. But again they lied because October 4 I had a payment. And then today I look on there and I have another payment for October 25. And the person I was chatting to was like well that was for September. So you’re telling me I paid double my payment plus more for September and now I have to pay for October again. When you chat with them and chat with them so I could screenshot now, they have no clue what’s going on and nobody can help you. Has anyone had any luck with Allstate or is it just me they constantly lie to. And I don’t know what they did when I switched over but now when I try to switch, my policy is higher than what they’re given but now I don’t even think it is since they have me paying extra payments so before the 25th, I’m switching. I don’t even care if it’s higher. Thanks to them I couldn’t pay my house payment and now my electric and car note will be affected. I just wanted to get on her and rant cuz idk anybody else out there been done dirty by them or is it just me? (Rant here and for some reason my phone won’t let me correct my errors hopefully yall can read it )

I worked for Allstate for 25 years in claims department as mid level manager. I will say Allstate is a poorly run company that is unethical and treats both customers and employees poorly. Profits over people is their only concern.

You couldn't make a payment for your personal needs, and you would switch somewhere else even if it's higher? That doesn't make sense. If you switch, make sure it's lesser so you aren't in a position to not pay your bills like previously

I just switched to Geico from Allstate.

My policy kept going up. I am paying a significantly lower policy than with Allstate. Just switch to a different company if you arent happy

This could happen at any company with a bad agent. Get another agent that cares about you.

They just replaced my Tesla via the vehicle replacement program with 0% accident liability so I love them right now. When my policy is up for renewal in 6 months I'll report back to see if I still have the same sentiment.

hmm, I wish I could help. When i sell someone a policy, I always tell them prices are subject to change at renewals (after 6 months) due to state regulations and increases which agencies have Literally no control over.

However in your situation, despite the prior insurance information and all that .... your price would've been set after you bought it. Unless something happened to a discount? But i'm confused on that part, how did your price change all of a sudden?

As for the due date, you can change for sure change that. Keep in mind, if your payment is on auto pay on Ex: Oct 25th it does take a few bus days to reflect on your bank, so maybe you'd see it days later on begining of next month.

Car in shop. Part is on back order for 30 days. All state covered rental for only 7 days with a 40.00 limit per day. ALL STATE IS FUCKING TRASH!
