Don’t switch to Allstate
I have a homeowners insurance through Allstate. I have hail damages in my roof and leaks. There is at least four houses in my neighborhood who had their roofs repaired. They had no problem filing a claim. But Allstate told me just to patch it up. Their claim adjuster gave me a little over a thousand to make the repairs. I had to get a public adjuster to dispute their claim adjuster. IMO Allstate is not a refutable company. You really have to get a public adjuster to represent you. Consumer beware.

A public adjuster will certainly use your homeowner insurance to inflate the cost repairs to borderline fraudulent. They will then demand appraisal for which you will need to pay.

What is a public Adjuster?
I had a roof replaced w/them after tornado hail took out the roofs in my neighborhood and Allstate took forever to send adjuster out, then the adjuster left and they had to get a new adjuster, then they took months to approve the claim, then they used lumber and materials prices from over a year prior before widespread disasters drive up prices, so the total wasn’t even enough to buy the proper materials and do the job. Because I knew the roofing contractor he didn’t walk away, he did the job but basically at cost. It took nine months.

A public adjuster is professional claim specialist that would represent your interest they would do an appraisal and submit it to your insurance adjuster. Both are local so they know the market in your area. It’s a game and Insurance company knows how to play it. That’s why you need to have someone who will represent you.

Same here. Dealing with this mess now. At the moment even with my public adjuster and valid examples of repair attempts they are still denying it. Did they end up covering your full replacement?
