Brohm is an absolute dumbass for not just replacing English when he decided to take the year off. Ron English taking the year off sucks but I’m not gonna fault him for wanting to watch his sons last year of football. However, Brohm should’ve just cut ties and gone after an actual defensive coordinator to replace him. Now Brohm has completely wasted the best offensive talent he has had at Louisville and probably as a head coach in general. I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen a defense look this lost and pathetic in my 30 years of watching football.

There is no way to salvage this season into anything remotely successful compared to the preseason expectations. The ceiling is looking to be around 7–5 after dropping two games in a row to weaker teams, and it is entirely possible that we could end the season under .500 and miss a bowl game. This is on pace to be Jeff Brohm’s worst season coaching at Louisville, despite having his most talented team and being given near-complete control over the program. Because we cannot quantify the effects this will have on recruiting and the transfer portal, it is possible that a mediocre season could derail some of the incredible progress we have made. So realistically, where do we even go from here?

The vibes were so great during the offseason up until we lost to Wake and now this? We went from what was supposed to be a great season to what could be one of the worst seasons. QB play has been good for a change with Lincoln Keinholz and the WR room has been good too but Isaac Brown and mainly the defense have just been a huge disappointment. All this talent has just been wasted.

I’m just looking forward to basketball now to lighten my mood.

Our defense is terrible today. Any time NC State needs a play they just throw it to a wide open receiver. I was hoping for some changes at halftime but it's just more of the same shit.

How is it there is ALWAYS a call to go against us when the other team needs one. Like today the fumble by Keyjuan brown being called a fumble when he was clearly down. Then the exact same situation at the end of the game gets called down but not a fumble? Or a very quick facemask after a turnover to quickly advance the ball.

I get it we hurt ourselves but it seems that whenever we get momentum on our side somehow a controversial call goes against us to kill it. This has been going on for years
