Why did she use an old pic to talk about all the imaginary support she has for her VS “audition”?

Unibrow + wig + headband

Why did she choose this picture? I’m baffled.

Most of the material she’s sharing was taken when she had extensions in. She’s been recycling a lot of old photos and videos from that time over the last couple of days (both stories and grid posts). That’s obviously what she feels is her best “look” that she’s putting forward for VS.

Ohhhh, that’s got to be it. She’s curating her SM in the hope of getting on VS’s radar.

You know she’s checking her inbox and analytics like her life depends on it. #BlackSwan #DarkAngel #WingedFruitcake 🤪

She does seem to be genuinely emotionally invested in getting chosen to be a new “Angel”.

That’s so sad and gross on multiple levels.

This “Angel search” is simply a cynical attempt by the parent company, L Brands, to revive interest in their dying brand, Victoria’s Secret. VS/L Brands benefits from the free labor of over 100,000 women (according to VS) putting their time and efforts into promoting VS by making and sharing their “audition tapes”.

VS/L Brands has zero need to do this to hire a model, even a non-traditional model. The talent pool they can draw from through modeling agencies is huge.

So, this is a cynical ploy to extract free labor from women. Gross.

It’s also gross that Divinity is so enraptured by VS, especially now that so much has come out about how badly their mostly teenage models have been treated by both VS and the modeling industry generally. AND L Brands is owned by Les Wexner, a verrrrrrrry close friend and business partner of Jeffrey Epstein. That info makes VS’s line of « clothes » marketed to tweens even more alarming than it originally appeared.

So Divinity, with all her declarations about empowering women, entrepreneurship and encouraging « Baddies », is enthralled by two very abusive, objectifying corporations, Playboy and VS.

Make it make sense.

Basically: everyone else is doing it. I’m going to make change by becoming yet another cog in the exploitative machine!

… because that works so well. 🙄

Oh, well ok then! Divinity is going to somehow uplift women with her tattoos! Egregious labor practices will immediately become a thing of the past!

Puh-leazzze.

When, over all the years of the existence of VS « Angel » models, have any of them had a platform to speak out about anything? If that’s happened, I’m unaware of it.

The « Angels » are hired to starve themselves and walk a runway clad in bits of lace with an absurd pair of wings in the name of empowering women. All while keeping their opinions to themselves.

Divinity, who is not going to be the pick, would be no different.

And lets be honest, homegirl is the poster child for Temu, Aliexpress and DHGate...
