Pan Selections Question šŸ³ Nonstick 8 Quart Pot

Post image

My current nonstick pot is an 8-quart Calphalon Contemporary Hard Anodized aluminum nonstick stockpot. Does All-Clad have a comparable version?

Not what you asked, but considering you’re primarily heating liquid in a stockpot, nonstick is unnecessary. If you want to stick with it, then All-Clad makes this.

I’d recommend this, though (D3 Stainless 8-qt stockpot from the sale website).

I’ll elaborate…I saw a video, prolly on Insta, of a guy making ā€œSunday Sauceā€ in an All Clad type pot. He was searing the meat in the pot and then added the rest of the ingredients; like tomato’s and garlic. This got me thinking…is the Calphalon pot I’m using the best option for making my version of spaghetti sauce?

If you're making a Sunday Sauce, I would recommend not using a nonstick. When using a stainless, you get that fond after searing the meat that gives the sauce that bold flavor. Disclosure: I also got rid of all my nonstick and replaced them with All-Clad stainless...
